put PC in new case had question about psu orientation

Hi so i got this new case a enermax Guardian case with a bottom mount for PSU , i have a 120 MM fan in the front one same size in back and one the same size going out the top, my question is on the orientation on the PSU up or down this case has to big open air slots at the bottom for vent with Vent covers that can be removed and cleaned. here is the site for the case http://www.enermaxusa.com/eca3290a-g.php and also pictures of the way i have the PSU now Thanks for any assistants.

If it has the open vents under the PSU slot, then I prefer to face the fan down. Then the PSU sucks in cool air from outside the case, and exhausts warm out the back. In this way, the PSU is a closed system, unaffected by warmer case temps it might encounter if facing up.

Also, this usually, but not always, puts the plugs for cables along the top edge of the PSU, and out of the way of a case bottom intake fan if it has one.

If the case has intake filters I usually go with fan side up- that way the circuit board for the psu isn't hanging upside down. Dust may be an issue as well as the possibility of dropping a screw into it accidentally.

Either orientation has its good and bad points- try both ways, it's easy enough to flip over

Fan down is good. Only time I don't is when the case is on carpet.

huh ok good point is wired i see some with it up some down so is hard to say. it does have dust filters in there.

Good point. Make sure case is up off a capet so it is getting fresh air.

Well, let us know how it works out. And if you decide to do it fan up like @Norton suggests, a psu is easy enough to switch over.
