No problem! I don't know why the patching program isn't working for you, maybe your anti-virus program is causing a problem....

I don't know either but I spent 3 days messing with it lol. Thanks so much. Everything is running great now. Now all I need to do is figure out why GTA V crashes every single time I try to play it. Same issue tons of others are having, select story mode then it crashes to the desktop after it loads for a few seconds. In the error report the only .exe referenced is GTAV itself so I don't think another program is conflicting with it. Always something lol

I don't think it's a driver issue, if your able to run other games ok and sli mode is active, then the driver is working like it's supposed to, you'll have to wait until gtaV is patched by the developers for those
problems.

Hi all.
I used HyperSLI for my config (q6600, GA-X38-DQ6, GTX570) for activating PCIe 2.0.
Now I tried to use DifferentSLI (everything was patched succesfull), but my PC still run only in PCIe 1.1 mode.
Is there some solution for my problem (except HyperSLI)?
P.S.: sorry for my bad english...

If you continue using hypersli your stuck with drivers no later then 335.23 (I think), you didn't still have hypersli installed while running differentsli did you? if so, uninstall hypersli, all differentsli does is activate sli mode on non-sli
systems, if you have sli mode active in your nvidia control panel, it's doing exactly what it's supposed to do, check your bios settings for your pcie slots, I'm running differentsli 3.0, and I'm running perfectly in pcie 2.0
(the max spec for my board), I'm running 2 560's in my system. Hope this helps!

My system is:

Intel Core 2 Quad Q6600
Virtualization Technology (VT-x) enable
Windows Vista Business 64bit SP2

Don't use hypersli, it's seriously outdated and is no longer maintained, run the hypersli installer again and uninstall it and then reboot.
Go here:

https://github.com/EmberVulpix/DifferentSLIAuto/releases

and download the latest version of differentsli, it should be a zip file, version is 1.3, unzip it to a folder of your choice, read the instructions and run the patcher on nvlddmkm.sys, then run the install.cmd and
reboot your computer, if you would rather not run the patcher your self, you can download my already patched version of this file here:

http://www.gamefront.com/files/24965469/nvlddmkm

just unpack the file in the same folder where you unpacked differentsli and run the install.cmd, then reboot, you should be able to activate sli mode fine then. It looks like from your specs
you already have the latest video driver installed so that's ok.

Hi jbailey8, in DifferentSli 3.0 at the end of the instruction its said "Windows Test Sign Mode MUST be enabled for the patched drivers to load!".

So if I need to do so, can you confirm that the correct command to do it is: Bcdedit.exe -set TESTSIGNING ON (https://msdn.microsoft.com/en-us/library/windows/hardware/ff553484(v=vs.85).aspx)

Because its not explained in the readme.md file... or running the "signtool" in the tools folder would solve this?

That command looks ok to me, the signtool is ran automatically when you run install.cmd, you should turn off your anti-virus temporarily when you run signtool, it will come back as a false positive. I didn't have to run the
manual command for bcdedit, I simply ran install.cmd, but you can turn on windows test mode manually first if you wish.

yes it worked but in AIDA64 the card are shown running at pci express x16_1.1 speed for 1 card and the other one at x8_1.1 speed. is this normal shoundn't be at 2.0 speed? or its AIDA that its reading wrongly...

If your running a pcie x16 system it's normal for the speed to drop to x8, I'm running pcie 2.0 x16, but my speed dropped to x8 when I put in my 2nd video board. If you can enable sli mode in the nvidia control panel
then everything is working normally. If you want to be sure of test mode, you can look in the lower right-hand corner of your desktop, on my system I have 'test mode windows 7 build 7601' Your running
vista though so you should at least see 'test mode' and something that identifies your operating system build.

I will test it with gpu-z.

and yes SLI is enabled. so my 2 GTX460 are in sli now.

do you know if this would work with older gpu like a 8800gtx + 8800ultra to make them SLI?
or should I flash the bios of the GTX card to an ultra...

As long as the cards are 'new' enough to have sli capability, differentsli should work, if your going to flash your video board bios, at least backup the original bios code first. The oldest video board that would
probably handle sli is a 8500G, a good clue is if the board in question has a sli bridge connector on it or not. So to just answer your question I would think a 8800 would work, you probably don't have
to flash the bios.

For those that are interested, here's the download link for my patched nvlddmkm35286 driver, just unpack this rar file into your differentsli folder and run the install command and reboot, you should be able to
activate sli mode in the nvidia control panel:

I tested the download link just now, it worked fine for me, do you have another share site in mind?

Sorry to bother you, but sicne you're uploading patched drivers. Do you have the one for gtx 580? I'm trying to do 3way SLI on a sabertooth Z77 that only supports 2 way but has a third slot that is x4. I've tried patching myself but the "patched" file doesn't seem to do anything at all. It will say in nVidia control panel that 3way is enabled, but when you look at GPU z, it says that only 2 are in SLI. Much appreciated if possible. The driver I'm trying to patch is 352.86

EDIT: Nevermind, I finally got it to detect the 3rd for SLI, but ran into another problem. Games I normally get 100fps in now give me 20fps. I get a massive decrease in fps instead of an increase. I think I'm just not meant to have 3 way SLI.

You don't need to run the patched driver I uploaded, that is for running sli mode on systems that don't internally support sli, your motherboard has support for both crossfire and sli, all you need to do is go to your bios (probably) and set
these options there, or there might even be a switch on your motherboard for that selection, see here for your motherboard specs:

https://www.asus.com/us/Motherboards/SABERTOOTH_Z77/specifications/

Probably the reason(s) your getting such low frame rates is because these settings are set improperly, also make sure you have the right sli bridge for your motherboard, see here:

http://www.geforce.com/hardware/technology/sli/bridges

All you need to do for video drivers is install the standard video driver you can get from nvidias' site, uninstall my driver first. See here:

http://www.geforce.com/drivers

My system on has built-in support for crossfire technology, but I'm running nvidia video boards, not ati, so to get sli mode, I have to install my patched driver.

Also, the patched driver generally allows for mixing different board models in the same pc and
still have some sli support, the standard drivers from nvidia generally won't let you do that, you would have to use all of the same model video board then.

Figured out the issue, but ran into more problems. Problem was I forgot to set in bios the bus from x1 to x4, lol. Now it's working great. But now... my sound card in PCI Express doesn't detect. -_-

It's like making the bus x4 removed power from the others or something? Also seems I can't egt rid of the "Test Mode" text at bottom of screen. If I turn testing off, then after a restart it won't detect GPUs and I get the 640x resolutions, etc.

EDIT: Yup, seems when you put it to x4, the slots are N/A by design. Since optical audio is the only option to connect to my receiver, and optical does not transmit 5.1 audio because of bandwith problems, the soundcard is necessary to encode to 5.1

Really is not my lucky day... Thanks for your help.

Sorry for your other issues, I'm afraid I can't help you much there, but here's how to turn off the test mode message being displayed (assuming windows 7):

To fix this problem manually in Windows 7, try these methods, in the given order.
Method 1
  1. Click Start, and then type cmd in the Search box.
  2. Under Programs, right-click cmd.exe, and then click Run as administrator.
  3. At the command prompt, type the following text, and then press Enter:

    bcdedit /set TESTSIGNING OFF
  4. Close the Command Prompt window, and then restart your computer.
Note If this method does not resolve the issue, go to Method 2.
Method 2
  1. Click Start, and then type cmd in the Search box.
  2. Under Programs, right-click cmd.exe, and then click Run as administrator.
  3. At the command prompt, type the following commands, and press Enter after each command:

bcdedit.exe -set loadoptions ENABLE_INTEGRITY_CHECKSbcdedit.exe -set TESTSIGNING OFF
  4. Close the Command Prompt window, and then restart your computer.
