Should I be running it at 2000MHz then instead of 1600MHz? Plus is there any noticeable difference between 1600 and 2000?

You most likely need to set the appropriate speed in the BIOS. Not all of them can automatically detect the correct frequency and default to the slowest speed.

Yeah, I think in the BIOS, it gives me choices of speed to choose from.

I'm not sure if XMP goes back that far but if it does you should be able to choose it as a profile.

Someone needs to update their specs. Either that or you are a magician running an i7 920 on an X48 motherboard ;)

It says X58, which is the correct chipset for the i7 900 series.

Plus is there any noticeable difference between 1600 and 2000?
you won't notice to much difference in performance less the app is really memory constrained. But those app's are very few, no games aren't one of them. you would do better with more of 1600mhz ram then 6gb of 2000mhz.

Yeah I corrected it just now. I apologise!

No need for apologies. I was just going to look for images of your bios to help you and realized something was a bit off ;)

Can I still achieve 4GHz on my CPU with the RAM at 2000MHz or close to that speed?

don't need to overclock ram to overclock the cpu so should be able to get or more.
