Ever since GTA5 was released I have been getting "Kernel-Power Event 41" Critical error's in Windows 8.1 Pro on my system
Although this can be PSU related, it can also be faulty hardware causing this general shutdown to protect the system.
Try the latest Nvidia hotfix driver and test your GPU.

I really doubt that Seasonic PSU you have in your profile (which is gold rated, BTW) is your issue.

Get a corsair RMi series its brand new and reviews say its phenomenal, and its almost platinum.
Also works fanless in low load.

Also not sure your issues are PSU related, I personally would try clean windows install first

Oki i am reopening this thread bcs my pc again today gave me Kernel-Power while i was clicking on a popup from Thunderbird o_O

It's the same old Event 41, Kernel-Power, The system has rebooted without cleanly shutting down first. This error could be caused if the system stopped responding, crashed, or lost power unexpectedly.

Mby it is time to change my PSU bcs it had run for 2weeks now and i gamed Alice Madness Returns, Aion and other that wasn't a problem.

I can see that OC UK has a good deal on a Superflower 550Watt Platinum for only £71,99 which sounds like a good deal.

Link: https://www.overclockers.co.uk/showproduct.php?prodid=CA-042-SF&groupid=701&catid=123&subcat=2057
EventID 41 only indicates an unexpected shutdown, it can happen if the desktop licks up and u press the 4sec poweroff (for ex).. It might be the PSU, but it might be a few other things, like unstable overclock or overheating.

If you look in Event Log is there anything listed immediately preceding the Event41 entry?

Just reread your first post, I though it was shutting down not freezing. Are those Mushkin timings stock?

On my rig (Vishera) GTA locks up unless the NB is dropped down to 2400. FarCry 3&4 do the same thing, I know another guy who had the same problem with FarCry....same hardware.

You are running a pretty hefty OC on the 3570K. Have you tried saving your OC profile in the BIOS, reverting the CPU back to default clocks and running it that way for a day or two?

it's not my i5-3570k, i don't have it anymore look at my Computer Specs, i am running a i7-4790k @ stock for the moment don't need to oc it

Benchmark Scores Faster than yours... I'd bet on it. :)
Id try it again... sometimes that is the easiest way to do things (particularly if you have proper backups of a base image - meaning install OS, get basic apps and drivers installed.. image system).

That is where I would look.. it is not remotely likely its your PSU.

What about your RAM? Those timings don't look stock...
I am running X.M.P. and the timing in my computer specs r stock.

Link to my Mushkin Redline: http://poweredbymushkin.com/catalog/item/5-redline/810-992122
At 1.65v? Iirc XMP only sets timings, not voltage. Is it OK to run 1.65v with Ivy Bridge?

Strange, they don't have that ram in DDR3 on Newegg, only DDR4.

Btw GTA5 froze on my machine again, I'm going to debug it with VS and if anything comes up I will let u know. :)

I had my NB at 2600 again tho...pretty sure that did it. Is there by chance a dump file or any logs in WER on your PC??

Yeah I was thinking more about the memory controller. :p I couldn't remember if the ~1.5v rule still applied or not..

People have had lockups in GTA5 tho, you're not alone. Only other thing I can suggest is check u have latest patch. There were some crashing/freezing bugs fixed....

It never applied, that rule. People ran 1.65 daily for years, and benchers like me pushed 1.8v+ through (under ln2). ;)

it just gets stuck and I have to reset my computer, no BSOD or anything and when I look in System logs I see "Kernel-Power Event 41" Critical error.
my pc again today gave me Kernel-Power while i was clicking on a popup from Thunderbird o_O

When your PC gave you the Event 41 error in Thunderbird, did it have the same symptom? Your PC froze up, no BSOD, and you had to reboot it, correct?

it's only in GTA5 I haven't really experienced it in other games or hard loading applications or when I do encoding

What happens with GTA5 is that it just gets stuck and I have to reset my computer,
Oh, I completely missed this,. Which version did u download?

Edit: I think I remember the fix for this. You have to delete the folder called windows/system32 and reboot. :p

lol

Uninstall Social Club and delete all Rockstar & Social Club folders on your system (backup the saves ofc) then reinstall the latest version of SocialClub included with the update..
