I came across the card in the title and I plan to buy it, but the GPU-Z screenshot I received showed something I cannot explain: the Pixel Fillrate is only 1.3 GPixel/s, which is incredibly low, since the version with 512 MB has 10.0 GPixel/s. The version I intend to buy is the one with 1024 MB memory, but why this drastic difference between the two?

The card I intend to buy:

The card with 512 MB:

Maybe it is a GPU-Z glitch... Version 0.8.4 vs 0.6.0

I hope it is a glitch indeed, but I asked the guy to make a screenshot with GPU-Z version 0.8.3 and he said it's the same situation.

He also sent me a screenshot of the card's results, do you think the card is good?

Only 2 ROPS!
It's a bug or some kind of energy saving. Try to start render test (blue question mark).
Also bus interface type is a very strange too. RV770 supports PCI-E 2.0 ×16.

Sorry, but I cannot ask him to start more tests, he already got tired of me. I appreciate your help guys, but just tell me if you think the card has some problems, or if GPU-Z has some issues. As you can see, he didn't install any ATI/AMD drivers, he said that himself. Maybe that was also the cause of that strange data/info?

The only thing I can say is that the Vantage score is fine... I cannot confirm that it is GPU-Z having issues...

For the PCI-e speed, AMD card will go to a lower speed (4x or 1x) to save power.

The ROP count could be a bug, better ask the developer W1zzard (Send him a PM and hope for a answer)

GPU-z error as it doesn't show Open CL and Direct Compute for that card, also a lower ROP count would make the card slower.
Not all cards are created equal, even in the same family.

The issue is the ROP count being detected as 2 while it should be 16.

I just looked at the code and this kinda shouldn't be happening.

Does anyone else have a HD 48xx card around to test?

Thank you for your input, W1zzard. Like I said before, the guy didn't install any ATI/AMD drivers. Could that be the explanation for the weird data?

That's heaps better, every HD 4850 I've looked up so far has 16 ROPS.

Well, tell you what: I already ordered the card and I should receive it at the end of this week. I will put it in my PC, reinstall Windows and then install the proper ATI/AMD drivers. After which I will make another GPU-Z screenshot and post it here. Would that be OK with you guys?

I am very happy to announce that I received the card today, and after putting it in my PC and installing the drivers from the AMD official website, everything seems to be in perfect order, meaning the ROPs and the Pixel Fillrate do not show weird values anymore. Have a look yourselves and tell me what you think.

The only thing that bothers me is that the Bus Interface says PCI-E 1.1 x16 @ x16 1.1, and normally it should show 2.0 x16, shouldn't it? Like Everest shows in the last two photos. What would be the explanation for that? I was told that the Bus Interface is backward/forward compatible, isn't it?

That should not be an issue! Do some benchs like 3Dmark Vantage and post your results!

3Dmark Vantage is 355 MB and with my net connection would take about one hour to download it. How about Furmark?

Take your time and download vantage! I advise against using furmark, it will stress your card beyond spec, not a good idea...
