OP claimed that the card would have a sudden non-linear performance increase around the 620MHz range.

Then try to get someone with a fury x card to take the tests @ 380 MHz and compare the % difference VS stock.

Assuming the card works properly @ those speeds, wouldn't that work?

IIRC OP originally claimed that it may have something to do with the timings table etc. According to rumors Fury X was supposed to be at 620MHz stock, but they had to push it back to 500MHz, so the 620MHZ would be the "sweet spot"... The best thing would be someone to test it at those kind of speeds imo...

I think that's a bit of a stretch. Even with the Phenom II 940 I had, you could mess with the the NB clock to get a speed that jives nicely with the CPU cores but, it only showed as increased bandwidth, not really any tangible performance increase. I suspect the OP's lack of knowledge on the subject is to blame and the ignorance is why we're still talking about it.

My 780 Ti with a slight OC will beat Fury X, and it cost $399. How are they going to sell these whiny, buzzy things for $650-$700? I'd say they're not going to sell many for that price. In a month they'll be down to $500 and still not selling...Line up suckers, and get "The Latest Thing"

I tested it and didn't see that gain. Looks like my initial thought about Furyx 's memory timing was wrong. That's why I didn't mention it in this thread

Benchmark Scores Faster than yours... I'd bet on it. :)

I'm confused then. So... what is this thread about?

It seems like you tried to support that assertion from your orginal thread in this one since the other is locked. What did I miss?

I think at this point he's just showing it's possible rather than useful.
