Any one hear anything good about Fujitsu keyboards

I was thinking about getting this.

The only thing I am able to find out about this keyboard is the data sheet.
The other keyboards they offer come with a two year warranty. But cost to much.
Thank you.

Thank's to all for joining in!

No not keyboards even ore so undisclosed mech switch type. But mainly hard drives and few computers over the years which seem to have bad builds.

Fujitsu laptops are known for being cheaply made, often with odd keyboard layouts, and this desktop KB seems to be no exception.

It's getting very common that the KB market is becoming flooded with very cheaply made KBs with back lighting that have somewhat cramped key layouts. Anytime I see a KB with the tall, narrow Enter key like the one you showed has, I avoid them like the plague.

I made the mistake of buying one recently by Sentey that was marked down from $60 to $15, but I returned it to Amazon. They are VERY annoying to type on I find. Now I only look at brands that have the typical wide, short Enter key, and it just so happens some of the better brands use that layout.

Isn't that just about EU vs US layout?

offering you the comfort, durability, and the sensation of a mechanical keyboard
About the KH800, It's unlikely a mechanical keyboard, probably unique/hybrid switches like in few i-rocks products.
Some of my friends (they at least know how cherry mx blue/brown/red feel like) are pretty satisfied with those i-rocks (for typing).

Personally I think the price a bit to high for switch like that but since it has few gimmicks that you may need, maybe it's worth it.

My keyboard has a combination of the two, with a large reversed L shaped Enter button.
Similar to this, except mine has the PS2 connection, and is still going strong after all these years and coffee spills.

Yea that's my first two family PC keyboard layout back in early 90's.
As far as I know it's designed for Russian and some Asian language layout, but mine is strictly in latin alphabet.

Made me think of my Razer Blackwidow keys cramped plastic used for the keys actually shatter under little strain due to the keys being close and then using a cap remover, i will not go on about the failing keys as i believe the failing cherry's were more to do with Cherry how ever the dam thing has cheepo clip together design.

...and this desktop KB seems to be no exception.
Please elaborate.

The keyboard layout seems pretty standard to me with one small but notable exception. That Fujitsu keyboard has an Fn key next to the right Alt key. I think that is a nice feature for notebook users looking for an alternative keyboard.

The large return key is deemed as desirable for many (and is not really "Euro" either).

Anytime I see a KB with the tall, narrow Enter key like the one you showed has, I avoid them like the plague.
Yeah, that is just your personal preference and has absolutely nothing to do with a keyboard being of quality or cheap design.

That layout could in fact be more popular in Europe, which would make sense since most cheaply made back lit KBs I've seen use it, and Europe does happen to be closer to Asia.

Note that it's not just the layout I dislike but the fact that most KBs that use it are smallish with cheap construction. Start checking Amazon for entry level back lit gaming KBs and you'll see what I mean.

Sure, it's my personal preference, esp since I have slightly larger than average hands and am used to the more US branded office style layouts, but I've also learned to be wary of KBs that get a lot of customer reviews based mostly on price. Those whom want to pay less usually settle for less and are more easily content. When you read the negative reviews on such products, you get a better perspective. I found a LOT of fast typists living in the US hate that layout. I took it for granted it wouldn't bother me, thinking it was going to be mostly for gaming, and I don't type all that fast, but I've never had a more frustrating experience with a KB, and it wasn't just the layout but the cramped size.

I thought Senty might be different because it's a US based company with toll free support, but right out of the box there was an inconsistency with the feel of the keys, some feeling stiff like they didn't want to easily depress, and the key caps being very cheap plastic.

Nah! Not hardly. There is no correlation between keyboard size and quality. And even if true, this thread is about that specific keyboard, not all or most keyboards.

As for customer reviews, I never pay attention to them anyway - unless there are many saying the exact same thing. Too many will downgrade a product because it was delivered a day late, FedEx crushed the box, or Newegg said it was dark red when really it was maroon. :(

Keyboards and mice are too personal. They are HIDs (human interface devices) and as such they must feel good in our own hands, not his or her hands. You are telling people those keyboards are cheap because you have fat fingers! That's hardly an objective criticism.

I don't know much about keyboards but that one does look kinda cool. I used to have a keyboard where the light under the keys was blue but it failed after while. the one I had was Saitek.

The "even if true" makes it rather clear you've not perused the myriad of keyboards available that use that layout, which are also typically smaller in overall size. Most of them come from China and are cheaply made and priced.

And yes it does have bearing on the topic because most when first looking at mechanicals tend to look at lower priced ones. I can tell by looking at that board in OP's first post that it is smaller than most full size KBs just by the key spacing. It's common with that layout too.

Asian manufacturers tend to put out smallish products, unless they consult with the export countries they're targeting, like Toyota had to eventually do with the US regarding their vehicles, esp the 4x4 trucks.

As I said above, Fujitsu is known for cutting corners with KBs and putting out cheap quality products in general.

My poor wording. Sorry.

I should have said, "Even if that were true...".

The facts are as I stated, "there is no correlation between keyboard size and keyboard quality".

To suggest otherwise would imply the opposite is true - that is, "the larger the keyboard the better the quality" and that is equally absurd and bogus. That could simply mean the larger keyboard has more customizable keys - perhaps for Office functions, email or browser launching, volume control, zoom in and out, ect. while the smaller keyboard has fewer keys. That in NO WAY suggests the mechanics are inferior or superior either way.

Asian manufacturers tend to put out smallish products
That's just silly - and again has absolutely no correlation with quality. Products produced in Asia for export are made to requested specs. The excellent Corsair K65 is 2.9 inches narrower than that Fujitsu above (356mm to 429.26mm). By your unsound logic, the Corsair would be vastly inferior to the Fujitsu.

The full size Toyota pickups were made "full size" simply because Toyota wanted a bigger share of the full size pickup market in this county. Are you going to suggest the Camry is inferior to the Malibu because the Camry is 2 inches narrower and has 2 inches less headroom? Of course not.
