Im not sure if this has been answered, as i was having trouble wading through all of the Bios uploads/Requests...but Im looking for a program to create my own fan curve for My Diamond 7870Ghz edition....Ive used afterburner, but Id rather something a bit more permanent , and that I wont need to have afterburner running for...Can someone let ME know....

#1 If this program is suitable..I think i saw that it DOES...but maybe something is BETTER suited
I DID read the OP
#2 if this program is EASY enough to use,
*** i only asked the second because SO many people had posted theyre own bios' for Someone else to Mod for the,m, So IOm left assuming that it might be out of My league... And to re-state....I ONLY want to create a custom Fan Profile... NO other modification.

Thanks in advance.

I have used it several times and find it very easy to be honest, just download the most recent version from the front page, install, dump your current bios twice, keep one safe , the other is the one you will modify, open up VBE7, then open your saved Bios, it will load, the right hand tab you will see says fan profiles, click on that and you will see how easy it is from there, save, flash (I use Winflash without ever having any issues) and you can test it out. Like anything in life some would say there are risks with flashing a Bios, less so if your sensible, especially just modding a fan profile, you are not trying to change anything significant to cause boot fail.

I think some come here and understandably if they have never done this before ask if someone else can do it for them, I have done a few for people and I am the one person who wouldn't if I thought I was going to brick someones card.

thank You....I have done flashes B-4 (as an owner of a Good 6950) but I was just not sure about this program, and You answered all of my questions , as well as alleviated MY concerns. Thank You for Your time, and for the information.

Regard's

I first downloaded one editor that was ONLY for Power limit increase..... I Then realized there was More than one link on the OP, so i grabbed the Latest from the OP...aka 4.2, but it doesn't offer a Fan modification option....I seem to be getting the wrong versions..

Try 7.0.0.7b which is the one I have been using and before I responded to your post I dumped a 7870 Bios from the database and checked it.

o my god....that would've saved Me a LOT of hassle had I known that to start with....I was starting to feel like I was losing MORE of my mind. Thank You for Pointing Me in the proper direction.

***EDITED***
I FINALLY got it...once I knew where the Editor File was located Here on TPU, I had no issues...I have Several saved (original) copies of My GPU's Bios....and I had absolutely NO issues modding the Fan Profile to better suite my usage.

Thanks to ALL.
