I signed up to prime a few days ago, and plan to deactivate the account in 2 days time.

I've also set camelcamelcamel to notify me on a price drop for a gigabyte G1 980 ti ($680 or less, i.e. $9.97 under current price), and hoping for a $650 price somewhere during prime day.

But odds are, they won't have stock for it, so it won't happen.

Still, even at it's current price, and including shipping to Aus, it still comes in at $100 less than anything available locally. And if comes down to $650, it's $200 under the aus sellers.

You can deactivate it Immediately and it will still continue on through the Full month, and that way You wont need to remember to cancel it later.

on another note, to others, As long as You use different Email accounts to sign up, You can get Prime for free (- the $1usd charge they do to check that Your debit card is active) as many times as You like...Using the SAME debit Card. Ive done it around 15 times, using different Emails, but the EXACT^ same Debit card.

PCPartPicker has a little page that monitors for some of the slightly more techie things.
There's also a sub-reddit for finding and discussing deals.

Pretty lame though. Looks like they're just clearing inventory that doesn't sell well. Was looking out for a Moto 360 or something. Maybe a 2x140mm AIO cooler too.

Yup, nothing great whatsoever. I was hoping $249 for that Alienware mITX with the Maxwell GPU, but turned out to be $349. That's not a deal, especially compared to the recent times it was on sale.

Well, it's been and gone and it frankly wasn't much. The selection is extremely limited and all I got was FIFA 15 for PC at half price at £12.49.

I wanted the Kindle Voyage, but that was never in the sale so I ended up getting it at full price. pfft. :rolleyes:
