My msi notebook has finally passed away (rip)(also a side project to fix it). I was looking at getting a new notebook, but the decision is....difficult. I have narrowed down to a few unless other suggestions are given.
The three are as follows
1
http://www.ebay.com/itm/MSI-GT72-Do...567?pt=LH_DefaultDomain_0&hash=item1a02adf10f
2
http://www.ebay.com/itm/ASUS-ROG-G7...116498c&pid=100009&rk=1&rkt=1&sd=111714103567
3
http://www.ebay.com/itm/MSI-GT72-Do...6eac3b0&pid=100009&rk=1&rkt=1&sd=261961685950

Found several other Msi variations....but I just cant decide

I would go with an Asus ROG laptop, they usually have better cooling and I own one myself.

My only reason for shying away from that my first rog died after 13 months...the dc jack on the back overheated and fried. The Msi brand however has improved there cooling design, tests show that there basically even

Putting cooling aside, The other specs are what im unsure of. The killer Networking vs intels, 8g vs 4g 980, I dont know how much of a real difference these will make on the overall system

MSI with 4th Gen Processor.
The 5th Gen all seem to be 2 cores with hyperthreading.

They appear to be nearly identical from the rear, and the MSI has an open vented base.

I would opt for an MSI Laptop. They handle games a lot better. If cooling is an issue you can always get a cooling fan. Although their laptops are also able to keep themselves regulated quite well. How much exactly are you willing to spend? The GT series is very well designed for the hard core gamer albeit it is more expensive. If you want something that gets the job done and for a more budget friendly price, I recommend the GE series. On amazon at the moment I found a sale for the GE70 Apache which is a very well received laptop.

Its been a flip flop between the two lol. I did alot of research on it last night and yeah i seen many of the 5th gen are only 2/4 w/ hyperthreading. As for the GE series, im aiming for a gt 980 so it will be good for a few years.
