The thing that irritated me about the MW2 campaign was the NPCs yelling at me to do this or that over and over like a stuck record instead of letting me figure it out myself. I felt like I was being led around by the nose.

I don't play COD multiplayer so I can't speak to that but for campaigns COD 1+2 were my favorites and I also really liked MW1. I enjoyed WAW too. I still play those four games every couple of years. COD1 UO expansion is a fun game also. UO threw a bug at me when I was supposed to take out some Panzers to proceed but the game wouldn't let me pick up ammo for the Panzerschreck. I restarted the level and finished the game. Don't know if Gray Matter Interactive ever patched that. They probably did or maybe it only happened rarely. I will still play MW3 and BLOPS 2 some day but no way will I pay more than $10.

CoD1+UO has the best campaign. you could actually feel the amount of love and enjoyment that the devs had making that game. the new hollywood'esk movie style campaigns just seem so disconnected and void of any emotion or feeling. Its a release for the sake of being another release and nothing more.

CoD 4 MW, graphics haven't really changed since then and the gameplay has only degraded with every sequel after that, so yeah.

just confirming with the other people who said CoD4: MW

Don't you just kove the clean graphics and textures? no blur and smearing over everything?

thats one of the main reasons i like older games, even games like fallout: NV look better than modern gaming to me, because on modern systems they look great - whereas many modern games blur the tits out of everything and add so many ugly effects to cover up the graphics, that they detract from a high end systems capabilities.

And the worst of all: BLOOM effects. Almost every game since 2006 has it, and it still destroys the IQ of many games. I wonder who invented the idea of 'Hey let's put awkward light sources all over the place so you can't see the shitty textures anymore', I suspect Activision, Ubisoft and EA had coffee one day.

without discussion Black Ops 2. It's on the steams top selling games,on page 3 i believe . The servers are extremely populated and the gameplay is top notch.
If you would to look and very much consider what the media people say, Total Biscuit has stated that Advanced Warfare has the most beautiful and refreshing multiplayer in a very long time.
However considering your pc specs .....in online you need 60+ fps stable ,especially in a shooter. Don't know if you can handle it.
I have watched this. Judging by this ,if i had the money i would go for this in a blink .It is superb

Edit: I just noticed you have a 17 inch monitor.
CoD multiplayer,is very....very competitive. I speak from experience with Modern Warfare 3 on steam. You need to play every day, just to get a little bit good. You get killed every second with head shoots, those players are hardcore .
Do not quote me on this, but on a 17 inch display i don't think you can get competitive . Up until 1 year ago, i had a 17 inch Acer myself. Any kind of gaming on this display is mediocre. I played games 5 long years on 17 inch.

Just maybe you should not spend your money on a competitive online shooter.
