Okay so on my laptop in Catalyst Control Center, the scaling options are grayed out and it's stuck on full screen. Is there a work-around to be able to set it to centered?

This might branch off to my other question..

Did this just recently occur? I have "seen" this one before but I have been up all night playing ARMA 3 so my brain has gone mushy and I just can't make the connection right now

YES! I can't upscale on my monitor and it's annoying as I'm used to 1080p.



Like, I get that it's a laptop and whatnot but why am I so.. I don't think limited is extreme enough.

Okay then the 2nd question then is? Why do you want to use centered timings? My lappy has NV in it so I don't have anything to compare it too. I would say it's just the limitation of the screen itself.

Given if I can make the monitor run at 1920x1080, how would it run as if it were native like how NVIDIA does? I tried CRU but it makes the desktop overflow the actual monitor boundaries. It's like the black border but flipped.

Its a 1600x900 display and you want to run at 1080p and downscale it to 900p? That's basically running VSR which the 6000-series does not support. Also being a laptop, running at 1080p will only harm your performance to get you next to nothing.

Upscaling is going from a lower resolution to a higher one (supported,) and downscaling is going from a higher resolution to be displayed on a lower resolution display (requires VSR iirc.)
