dont think you'll see big difference in gaming with i5-4460+b75 mobo(but you'll save money)
also cant understand why you want to change ssd(if you'll go to 240-256GB there is some sense - nowadays games wants more space)
cmz12gx3m3a1600c9 (its just 2 sticks)
it will work fine, but better go for 2x4GB ram(or close all aplications to run game)
wait for skylake?
dont think you'll lose much - but anyway always there are some "waiters":)

looks good, definitely a big upgrade from old lga 775, you will see large benefits. the gtx 680 is comparable with the 770 i believe so your q9550 is probably bottlenecking it. not to mention lga 1150 is a lot newer than 775 which means you have better ppw. and it renders physics better ntm

Save up a little down the road and get an unlocked i5 or i7, since that is a very nice overclocking board.

The 4460 is fine; I'm running it right now. But it's not exactly worth a decent Z97 board.

Anyways, it looks fine. I would've gotten a bigger SSD with the large price cuts these days. But then maybe it's just me with my pure 740GB of SSD storage. :p

Could've saved a bit with a i3-4130 or something. Generally plays better than the G3258 and doesn't set you back as much as the 4460, since it's temporary anyways. IMHO the 4460 would be something to stay with if you didn't have such a good board.
