Hello, it has been a great while since I've posted here. I've been having problems mainly with my pc booting up and then having to restart cause I'm getting a winload.exe error. But recently I noticed something. 1. It only happens when using windows 7, when I try using windows 10 or windows 8 it boots just fine. 2. when ever it does the winload.exe error, my sad is missing, if I restart it enough everything just boots up fine. I have no clue what it is but I feel like it could be my ssd. Having installed it on a couple of other computers lately with SSD's they don't run into any win load problems. otherwise it could be another hardware problem? either way I would like to check if maybe my sad isn't getting enough juice during boot up (would love to know how I would go about that) or just check the SSD for bad sectors, or just have one of you just determine from my explanation if it's dead or not or any other weird problems. I also only called it a possible solution because its just a matter of replacing the SSD if thats the case, it has been making the upgrade to windows 10 very frustrating, it would keep doing the win load.exe thing and windows will give up and revert back to it's original state
Thanks guys

Benchmark Scores I dont have time for that.
Grab Crystaldiskinfo ru it and see the health of your drive. Otherwise bad install or corrupt OS. you might be able to fix windows 7 with the command

Code:
 SFC /scannow

in an admin command prompt. assuming you can get it to boot. You can do an SFC off oc the disk but IDR how to target the windows drive.

So it says that everything is fine? when I know I've been having problems trying to get it to just load windows without making me restart so I don't know, Ill try the command prompt and edit this post

EDIT: I should also mention this part "You can do an SFC off oc the disk but IDR how to target the windows drive" don't know how to do that

Edit 2: "Windows Resource Protection did not find any integrity violations" .....it would be weird if its a bad os install cause it works fine on friends and I reinstalled this 3 times and it still gave me the winload.exe message

No solutions found on my end, I replaced sata cables and tried different slots on the motherboard. and different power cables as well still the same old disappearing SSD, then I would restart it and it loads up just fine. any other suggestions?

I've had weird issues like that. I'd suspect your hd. Sorry, but it's time for a new one. Back up your data now, order a new 3tb hd, and reinstall.

Yep, I would reinstall and check it out. I'll bet it solves you problems. I've seen where even smart drive checks would report okay, but there was an issue. Also check your psu rail voltages, make sure you are getting true 3.3v and 5v ect.
A dying Silverstone 80+ silver 850 not only took out my mobo and cpu, but mouse as well, because 5v rail was way too low. And 3.3, and 12... but you get the point. Run Aida64, check all voltages, I'm not kidding, you can lose a lot of valuable hardware if a psu goes out of spec.

Huge help from you, I grabbed a samsung 850 and so far no win load errors and no disappearing ssd. When everything is back to the desktop and what not I'll be sure to let you know how things are going with aida64. as for voltages I have always been one to use my bios and all that at default at least until my hardware could use a push when comparing to newer tech.

Weird stuff, I actually suspected your older hdd.... can't really use ssds on my platform, too slow. Glad to see it's sorted out!
