possible upgrade of x7811/gx740 gpu to 8970

Hey guys, i have the chance to get a fairly cheap 8970m and was wondering if anyone has had any success in this upgrade before or if it was at least possible in the x7811 or gx740

Nope its just on ebay.... was waiting for a 7970 because there are guides, but there aren't any for the 8970 and it's quite cheap so just wanted to know of it was possible

Im asking you if the MFG of the laptop shows support for the card. THAT is where you need to look.

Manufacturer. Whoever makes the laptop...

Go to their site and see what that laptop can upgrade to.

So the heatsink is completely compatable, but it didnt come with a xbracket and i dont know how to take it off the 5870m, anyone know how to take it off
