But it is not my responsibility to trace the key. If the publisher has a problem with a marketplace (because that is what the website I purchased from calls itself) than it should report it or claim that it is unauthorized. I have not seen such information about Kinguin (because that's where I purchased MKX - some time googling and nice page layout convinced me to go with them), so I don't have any reason not to purchase from them.
Youre likely to find happening to you what frequently happens to alot of people: Your key will one day be revoked by Steam, as an illegal key. You might be lucky, you might not.
I follow this philosophy when purchasing any goods: You get what you pay for.
