Just saw a teaser with pre alpha footage on the official page - www.rainbow6.com

Shows a 5 vs 5 cooperative with a team speak narration, It gives a good view of what R6 is about. Rush, kill what you can and finally find campers and use your brain to lurk em out.

I think last three or even four R6 games were complete disasters - I even stopped counting the shitty console ports.
I used to fail my univ playing Raven Shield all nights with people across Europe in public/funwars/matches.
That game was the best shooter ever made in my option. I really hope this is closer to that old school PC R6 games where you peek manually from your keyboard instead of starting some lame animation while being close to a corner.

If you have any details of alpha/beta stuff please post it here, I will also try to post some info about actual gameplay.

Rogue Spear is still my favorite with Raven Shield a close second. Everything else was blah so I moved onto Ghost Recon, the best of the best strat shooter ever. I still play it and create my own map scenarios.

Yeah rouge spear was something that got me hooked at first, was no internet times for me - we gamed nights at internet cafe. Some guys got so into the game so badly they ripped off mouse cords

UbiSoft made Raven Shield But I know they killed all next RainbowSix games.
Animation doesn't lock your game (PC style) and you can lean ! that's good news

Got access to the closed beta which started today. Has the potential to be pretty great, way better than Vegas. Sadly beta is beta.

game does look pretty good. i am worried about the multiplayer aspect in that i dont really have any friends to play with. i think this game will live or die based on the community of players looking for team based strategy rather than just pub stomp/trolling.

+1 this is what I'm waiting for. CSGO competitive relies heavily on communication and people who are truly willing to work in a team. Insurgency had potential, but most coop servers are usually filled with a bunch of first-timers who don't know how to play, don't know how to work in a team, and aren't willing to take advice/criticism.

Project Reality-esque teamwork is what this game needs; on the other hand, that may limit its audience.

My first thoughts were CSGO, but obviously too early to tell totally. It's going to rely heavily on teamwork and communication, and has very clear boundaries for different roles. The deciding factor is going to be with the class of players. For every team I had of 5-8 people, 3 were great, and the other 4 were basically no-scoping with assault rifles and laser pointers. It's definitely the better shape of Rainbow Six in a long time though. Was kinda disappointed the multiplayer matchmaking system is broken at the moment.

UBI piss me off, they can do a great MP COOP games but they don't want their games to last typically, for some years it's been like this they don't want to release dedi server files allow custom maps and actually use a engine that is good for TvA.

They want to be able to release a new game every year replacing the last one like COD and such. funny part of that shit they totally suck at making games like COD not as if COD are all that but short.

If they want to put it to the man and compete with with CSGO and such all they have to do is make frigging Ghost Recon 1 again or in this case Rv6 again but as i said they don't want to comply with community's.

Like hel Far Cry as been getting closser to Ghost Recon over the years but still they don't want to release shit and spend the time of giving those classic options and on top of that they want to know how many people are playing.

Shit maybe they will get it right, but surly everyone has learned not to hold their breath what any thing UBI release or say are going to do.

Another thing they will have to do is have more than 5v5 crap they will need to allow observers too at the very least, and if they cannot add good AI games failed already to me.

I've seen few rounds and it's a big clusterfuck. The stuff they showcased in previews was totally scripted. Everything slow and tactical, talking with teammates on breach etc where in real life, when one fires a bullet everyone starts shooting all over the place and you end up having Quakeish CS:GO. I was interested despite stupid Uplay, but after seeing how it actually plays, meh...

Its fun as long as you have friends play with you. If you just in a random match you will be met with COD players
