My friend has that G Skill kit and I have the 8gb kit of that G Skill kit, both at 2400, and neither of ours could clock well. We were both disappointed with them a bit but they do run as advertised and it's not like a little OC on ram means anything much.

And that Mushkin is oos.

If I were you, I'd skip the ram upgrade and upgrade the ssd with a nice 500gb sad. ;)

Ram is a lot about taste these days, because a lot of them or even all of them, are good. I'd decide that depending on price + timings - I'd take the best mix out of these 2 priorities. Well of all those you linked the Vengeance look the best, because of the low price. 2nd Mushkin and 3rd place goes to Patriot I'd say. This is all quality ram, none of those should make any problems, though.

PS. I don't see a link for Avexir-RAM, seems you double-linked the Corsair.

When will people learn that RAM timings and speed make pretty much ZERO difference in real world? If you're loaded, sure, you'll take the fastest RAM with tightest timings. But honestly, capacity over speed/timings. Take the one that has more warranty and looks better. The rest is not important.

At least for DDR4, there is a small gap for performance increase at 2400-2666MHz which again pretty much disappears at 3000+ MHz. So, by having something in that sweetspot is the best.

You're forgetting the fancy dual color heat spreaders make for faster ram, if your heat spreaders have more than two colors it's turbo! Stay away from the rainbow colored heat spreaders though, they're bound to rear up on you. :D

Yeah, the red brake calipers rule. If it looks flamboyant, it'll give you higher boost. Aggressive colors and bigger heatsinks usually give you instant +10 fps boost.

I do appreciate the humor but yes I know RAM doesn't influence performance that much, but I was dealing with issues (MIN FPS avg) in CPU intensive games and that is why I decided to upgrade my RAM sticks. I came here for your opinion on the choice of the RAM, now of course it's more about personal preference I know and yet... I still wanted to see which ones you guys prefered.

Glad you had some fun with the thread. I've settled on the AVEXIR and the PATRIOT ram sticks, tryin to get a price match on the avexir, otherwise I'll go with the patriots

You should look at the similar price range if you can get some even higher clocked with potentially same timings. Maybe some 2600, 2666 or even 2800MHz sticks that might have very similar timings. I've seent his happen in the past where you need to pay just extra 10 or 20 $/€ and you get a lot higher clocked RAM with sometimes even same timings. Not always, but it's worth checking stuff slightly above your selected price range. Just watch so you won't wander off too far away ending up buying a kit that's 100€ more :D
