I think you're better off with just the Uplay version. When I use just Uplay, no problems. Everytime I see people complain about Uplay it's usually because they are trying to do Uplay through Steam.

My motto is stick to whatever game platform the games are native to, and that has served me well.

u need uplay for the steam version, myself and my friends like items in the steam library that's why i am asking.

How has combat changed on Unity? I ended up giving up on Unity. The enemy's had such large health pools latter in the game and so many would gang up on me there was nothing I could do but die. Its not fun trying to fill one dude and it take 10min. No assassination with smoke bombs etc. Would like your thoughts and comparisons with this, is assassination inside of smoke bomb back? Thanks.

I'm a bit hesitant to pick up ACS, but i think i will eventually...perhaps I may rent it, it's the kind of game to play for a week, then never again.

i got it free with a graphics card purchase.. its the kind of game you ether like or hate.. i fit in the latter category..

wonderful scenery full of dumb people and an assassin leaping about like a trained monkey trying to figure out where the f-ck to go next..

maybe if i persevere the game could grow on me but somehow i dont think so..

About 4 hours in, and I am having a blast!!! Just to note, that is NOT my normal reaction to AC games.

It's smooth, looks great, and my system is playing high settings at 60fps and using 3.4GB of VRAM.

The voice acting is solid, and missions seem well-executed. I enjoy the new fighting dynamics, and love being able to switch back and forth from Jacob to Evie.

Is this game lighter on CPU than Unity? if no then i won't mind playing it for now, i hate it how my computer plays TW3 on 1080p Ultra @60fps but Unity ran at high 30's bottleneck being my CPU for sure.

And no i won't be changing CPU until Zen as i'll take my twin brother's fx8350 when they launch :"D... i'm poor

It's not too bad. In my system specs, I am utiliting between 55-70% CPU, 7.37GB RAM, and 3.3GB VRAM. It runs sweet!

Another good thing is in the settings, when setting up visual options it shows an appriximation of VRAM usage, which is prettynaccurate to what OSD is showing.

Three things I don't like about this game :

1. You can't jump freely.
2. You can't switch weapon on the fly.
3. Game constantly crashing, especially after finishing Memory Sequence and doing a Fast Travel.

Do you bought your copy via Steam? Losing save games is a common problem with Steam-Uplay (bought from Steam & launch the grame from Steam. so Steam will launch Uplay and then the game) combination, it happened to me when I play AC Revelation.

Now I play Syndicate straight from Uplay and does not encounter any save game problem so far.

I've said this repeatedly to all the Ubi haters who still buy their games on Steam and play thru U-play connection. I have ZERO problems with U-play games when bought and played on U-play.

I have 20 games on U-play, and I cannot for the life of me remember when I last had any kind of crash on one of their games. Whatever the other issues might be with Ubi games, they are extremely stable. Invariably, the problems I see on their and Steam forums almost always are because of having to make that 2nd platform connection.

I've also found that games sold on U-play for Steam platform can be installed and run exclusively on Steam, and are counted as Steam games. Quite a magnanimous position for Ubisoft to take to allow that.

By the time they register as completely dead, I am 15 or 20 feet down the sidewalk, mingled in the crowd, and no one has a clue who the killer is. I take every opportunity to do this just because it's fun!

Well, that's weird. All of the disappearing save issue I found caused by Steam-Uplay combination.

Yes they have a cloud save service although I disabled it.

The thing I enjoy most in this game is running around, draw my pistol to any hostile to provoke them, run and search another hostile group, find at least 5-6 of them, and then fight them all and finish them all together with multi kills

EDIT : I managed to reduce the risk of game crashing ("ACS.exe has stopped working" error message) by disabling Uplay in-game overlay and not doing double fast travel. Playing for 3-4 hours yesterday and no crashes at all.

So far I've managed to meet and do tasks in return for equipment and favors for Charles Dickens, Charles Darwin, a very young Alexander Graham Bell, and Florence Nightingale. At the ages they were in 1866, when perusing photos from that period, they did a remarkably good job of getting their likenesses right.

Darwin and Bell are my favorites as far as personalities they gave them go. Darwin they did an exemplary job at getting the funny little old man persona right.

I just finished it last night and I really like it a lot.
I bourght mine tru steam and havent had any problems at all.

The only thing that really gets under my skin, is the last side operation, with either Charles Dickens or Charles Darwin where you have to catch and tackle the guy before he gets hit by a train, that 1 made me yell f*ck quite a few times.

think its time to play Fallout4 now for the first time.
