My personal favorite is ASRock followed by Gigabyte, MSI, and lastly Asus.
ASRock because it's motherboard has the best hardware features for the price they are charging. The Fatal1ty series are top notch in build quality (I'm using the Fatal1ty X99M Killer / 3.1 for my high performance build).
Gigabyte also very good build quality, but slightly less features compared to ASRock's equivalents.
MSI also very good build quality, but each motherboard are sold in various versions and with various options (wi-fi, etc) I have to enquire at each store which version they have. Very confusing and difficult to decide if the particular motherboard carried by this particular outlet is the exact one I want.
Asus branding is very strong, but they charge ridiculous prices and build quality have plunged! Even their ROG series of motherboard which is their premium series are full of quality issues (sudden death, RAM slots not working, etc). Their budget series are manufactured by ECS. My 1st (and last) MB LAN port works intermittently because it wasn't properly soldered, hence got contact issues...
Rest of the brands I'm not familiar with cause Singapore market only carried these 4 brands. I've checked out some EVGA MB but found they have weird component choices (M.2 slot but with keying for wi-fi card only, etc). Biostar, ECS, PC Chips exited (Singapore) market many donkey years ago ...
Just my personal opinions...
