I think it will do fine. Expect some slowdowns at some scenes, that's normal when emulating.
Change the settings you need and play with the hacks, but remember the inteLgrated card is weak, don't be too demanding on the graphics settings.

This is true. It take high end desktop to get "perfect" play. At 720p below for emulator integrated will do nicely.

Yes! I only have experience with FFX as you listed and the game persona 3/4. HD graphic is more powerful than you think nowadays!

So you don't know for sure if Zelda Wind Waker, Twilight Princess or Super Mario Sunshine for the Dolphin emulator will run fine?

Those are Gamecube games, they will fly.
Remember to use the lattest build version, it's usualy faster than the stable one.

Oh, and try PPSSPP. It's a lot better than PCSX2 for the games that are released on PSP.

I know this is a little off topic, but my friend picked out this: http://www.newegg.ca/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16817438015 and just wants to know if there's anything cheaper for everyday use, including playing emulators? And a cheap pair of RAM sticks (preferably 8GB in total)

I used the more expensive EVGA 500B. That PSU you give is ok but $10 for more efficient and more power is not bad of a price increase. It is still kicking on another pc I build. Nice low cost bronze power supply. For $10 more. According to newegg you can go 8GB one stick for about $50 ram alone.
Your performance would be lower not having a twin ram though.

Ah gotcha! So in your opinion, that power supply is okay for him if he's only doing the emulation and every day tasks, right? I mean, I have a Antec 650W and I never use 650 W of my power supply.

Oh yeah. I see what you're saying, but he doesn't need any more than 8GB, anyway. :) So he's good to go now, right? No more asking questions? (except these! lol!)

We have a problem. The G. Skill 1333 Mhz RAM isn't compatible with that LGA 1151 motherboard. =/ It can only support DDR4 memory. At least, that's what PC Partpicker is showing me. Could it be incorrect? Is there a work around on this? He's already at $416, which is $16 over his max budget.

Are you kidding? a 350-400w would be more than ample for that build I personally would save a few $ and pick a cheaper PSU, doesn't have to be of lower quality but you don't need anywhere near 600w!! may help you change out the RAM for some DDR4 ;)

Dude, you should read more carefully!!! XD That 650 W is MY psu. The one that is for my friend is the link that I provided in which you're replying to! lol! You may have gotten a little confused there, buddy. ;)

Yeah I was talking to @GoldenX about the issue with the DDR4, actually. We had the DDR3 ram picked out, but we both didn't see that the motherboard chosen only supports DDR4. So it's like $13 more than the DDR3 my friend had picked. :( Also, I'm sure he'll reply sooner or later, but he said a solution to the cost would be just to get a single stick of 8 GB instead of two 4 GB, so it'd be cheaper. However, I want to know that if my friend only has one stick of DDR4 8 GB, will that disable the dual-channel feature? I mean, wouldn't my friend be better off to get dual-channel so it'd run the game emulation better?

If budget is an issue, I'd highly recommend watching for Cyber Monday sales on last-generation tech.

We already figured everything out, thanks. We're not waiting for that. :) Seems we're able to work out the build we have within his budget, with some help from me.

Yea, my bad, surely you can find something similar for less than the price of the one you linked?

Ideally dual channel would be nice but at this budget it's not needed, can always buy another stick 6 months down the line though it won't affect performance too much for what he's wanting to do anyway!

Skill cause it looked good and plus he likes G. Skill. However, the ones you linked me to are of a faster frequency, surprisingly for the very same price, including shipping + taxes. LOL! He's gonna go with the ones you sent, because of that AND because they have blue LED's! XD Thanks!

EDIT: Actually, we're gonna go with the G. Skill ones because there's like no reviews on the ones you sent lol! One person said his were defective. :( That kinda discouraged my friend. Do you know much about the ones you linked me to? If not, we'll go with the G. Skill, after all. LOL! XD We've been at this for 6 hours!

The only cheaper 80+ PSUs are the ones below 400w.
