Large Temp Difference

In Intel's TAT My CPU is reading about 30 degrees celcius under 60% load of both cores.
Everest Ultimate Edition reads 58 under the same amount of load.

Doesnt sound good does it

What should I trust?
Originally I was scared, but ive started discounting Everests accuracy given that at almost 60 degrees my cpu would probably cause a thermal shut down, is my theory correct?

Ive also heard about ASUS's sensors being inaccurate. So is it possible that my CPU is say in between these temperatures, say 40 - 45 degrees?

The cpu has been overclocked from 2.1 - 3ghz.
Any input on the scenario, as well as your own temps (if you have an intel cpu) is greatly appreciated.

Heres a screenshot, and a pic of my cooler is attached

In my experience, TAT is the most accurate of any temp monitor. I think your everest is having some issues...

Yeah Id like to think that. 30 degrees overclocked mildly is quite an idea temperature Id say.
Much better than the old stock P4 Prescott @40 *shudder*.

Btw, thats a nice overclock on your C2D, is that as high as you can get it, or do you have more headroom? What temps?

I seriously doubt 30 is correct with that cooler. I dont have first hand experience with that cooler but i dont think it's that great. I have a feeling everest may be closer. I use coretemp to monitor. With a Zalman 9500 oc'd to 3.2 i was getting 45/47 idle and high 50's under load.

oookk coretemp gave me a BSOD...
il try speedfan:

Speedfan gave me a reading of 52 degrees for CPU.
Btw I know my cpu fan sucks :p, perhaps i need to invest in an AC or something similar and put new AS5 on.

I just got an tec cooler. Expensive as hell but does a fantastic job. Dropped my oc'd temps by 12 degrees and as5 hasn't set up yet.
