Lian Li PC-60 case back from the year 2000 - 2002 has got new life! The last time it was assembled was 2005 and now i am offering it as a modest gaming PC. Packed with el-cheapo Gigabyte GA-B75M-D3V system board, Core i3 3250 processor, Crucial 2X4 GB DDR3, Crucial M4 120 GB SSD and a reference GeForce GTX960 video card this PC can run any game at maximum settings, with no AA, at 1080P, except Crysis 3, Witcher 3, Arma 3, GTA5, Assassins Creed Brotherhood and Metro Last Light Redux - which run fine ant high settings, at 1080P, with no AA.

I recall someone mentioned rtwjunkie having a similar spec PC for gaming, so after that note i was quick to assemble such myself.

I can't think of any other hardware back from 2000 that could fit into a modern day PC...

actually i like the case quality from that era. like now im using hp case from 2000s too
and what i like from lian li is the material and the look

anyway maybe you could consider sleeving your cables and do little cable management. it would be good

Are looking at some different PC? I have sleeved the cables with aluminium foil in case you have glaucoma or cataract, and this case does not have holes for cable management anyway. And then the cables of PSU are just 35 cm in length.

nice build, im working on my 8NB right now getting it painted. is there any room behind the mobo tray at all? if so maybe consider doing this? i used a 55mm hole saw..

Also you should consider taking some isopropyl alcohol and a microfiber cloth to clean up the adhesive residue on the front bezel

Thank's for the tips. Your case is awesome. I will try to use white-spirit to clean that up. Well, i am going to sell this PC, so i will not bother with drilling holes anyway... That cheap sleeving with Aluminium foil that i've done will be just fine, i just wanted to quickly hide the annoying tiny cables without drilling anything, so i wrapped the cables with that foil.

Nice but remove that ugly Intel sticker, its pretty annoying in contrast to the aluminium. ;)

Ive never seen such a use for aluminum foil within a PC.

That sounds like an easy way to short out something. I suppose they won't move much.

Edit: Also, aaahh, the good ol days when those Zalman CNPS coolers were the budget cooler bomb. I still have my CNPS7700Cu.

Instead of being rude, you actually could have wrapped them into one bigger bundle with electrical tape to give a less messy look since the foil makes it look like you went to the dollar store for a pc.

I guess aluminum foil has more uses than just making hats. Kudos to you!

I posted this thread not because i wanted your opinion on cable management, but because of the fact, that a 15 year old case stood the sands of time and is fit for a gaming PC

If i wanted your opinion on cable management, i would have created a different post, perhaps in a different thread meant for such things.

Why can't anyone post a picture of his computer without being accused of not managing the cables? It's getting pretty stupid these days. I admit that the cables are loose and sleeved cheap - thank you very much for what was obvious, but that was not the purpose of my post.

Besides, this case is not for me, if i wanted this for myself, i would have made a proper job and instead of buying a Chieftec 400 W power supply would have bought a Seasonic or BeQuiet! power supply with detachable cables in the first place.

your pc ATM is a good place to post these things :)
you should join us there, either way its an epic case with some lower end hardware in it, I always love seeing lian li's regardless of what they house.

Someone should never be closeminded and open to suggestions or almost any things.
