Like the title reads, if you have a board that you would like to get rid of, please let me know. I could use it for scrap and salvage some parts from it. So please let me know

If you make it more clear, it will be easy to understand what you actually want to mean?

Well basically my motherboard is shorted and the LAN port is busted (got a broken m1730 second hand), so somewhere in the motherboard I need a small chip for and also the LAN port needs replacing. It's something that I wanted to get into motherboard repair and share it on Youtube when I am able to get it working successfully. So as said, broken, defective motherboard (no longer working) I needed just to play around with. So let me know if anyone can help. Would greatly appreciate it and plus would appreciate the knowledge obtained when working with it

It might be easier to buy the LAN controller IC. Realtek and Atheros chips go for $1-2 on eBay.
A lot cheaper than buying a whole broken motherboard just for that.

Another thing to consider is ESD protection. There is usually some kind of diode assembly between LAN IC and the port, which usually blows before LAN controller. Unless you shorted the motherboard itself, I'd check that first with a multimeter.

Otherwise it might be much faster and easier to buy a used PCI Ethernet card. That's what I did on my Gigabyte P35 board many years ago (had a busted LAN port).

Well I am still looking for the board. Again, it's a project and I wanted to fix it and make it original. So if anyone has a DELL XPS m1730 board that is busted.... let me know if we can work something out. Thanks
