unproductiv dude..
you should not be tampering with the bios unless you really understand what you are doing
the fact that you needed to ask for one tells me you are not somebody that should be tampering with the bios

Shoulda bought a Maxwell.....any monkey with a keyboard can mod the bios on those and have to work pretty hard at it to screw anything up. The AMD GPU bios is on a whole other level though...... If you're looking to flash to a custom bios for some benchmarking, google the PT1 bios.

I agree but I don't think any RBE even works on the R9's hey.

Plus @OneMoar is 100% right on not screwing with the bios because we all know what's going to happen

your going to be posting a thread like all the others that just wanna edit and brick there card and be freaking out looking for help....:wtf:

Anyways OP good luck on whatever your trying to accomplish by altering the bios :pimp:

Ok guys, friendly to get me understand i'm uninformed and keep me away from doing some mistake but not really!

I have i XFX-R9-280X-TDFD REV.3 and flashed it to a GV-R9-280VW3 (the real AMD version) to use it with Mac OS X. But basically the clock-speed are different and some other little settings too. Now i want to match the original version and the flashed one to make the changes for all voltage and clock settings to get the card smooth and quiet to run. No over heating or clocking, just save. The card works perfect now on OS X and Windows and all other distribution but i want to change the settings because the GIGABYTE-BIOS is more faster and higher voltage configured.

The RBE-editor isn't the right tool for editing R9-280 cards, i need a other one that work.

I can't use a experimental editor, the card can be broken and at this version there isn't any second BIOS to switch to and boot it up twice.
So again.. i looking for a working BIOS-editor for AMD R9-280X card, like my post #1! No discussions about every thing others.. thank you.

Any tips or ideas from a tekkie that's know what he tell and do?!

Sorry to bump an old thread. So there's never been an R9 2XX BIOS editor since huh?

I'm looking because I have an R9 280X here that artifacts at 1500Mhz. I have to use Afterburner to underclock the RAM to 1300Mhz to run stable. It would be nice to flash it to this speed instead of running Afterburner in the background all the time. Any advice to patch the BIOS at all? It has dual BOIS but seems to be the same FW on each. It's a Gigabyte windforce card.

Thanks. I tried VBE7 and it lets me change the RAM, and flashes and shows right on GPU-Z but all games lock up on loading. I don't think it has to do with losing UEFI. Flashed it back to original no problem.

Nevermind. I guess the VBE7 patched BOIS does (mostly) work. I needed to reinstall the driver. So it is working right now with new lower frequencies on RAM and GPU. Only thing is windows safemode and bootup are black screen. There is only a picture out when AMD drivers are initialized. Possibly UEFI or Motherboard issue?

Hello.
Does your mainboard have UEFI ?
Then it is more likely then when you patched the BIOS you lost the UEFI.(i mean the video card lost)
In this case , yes you do not have image until windows initialise the video drivers.
