Yeah, Corsair makes a solid product. I heard early on that modular power supplies were less efficient than the hard-wired, so I've stayed away from them as a general rule, but I'd be tempted at that price..... and a 5-year warranty on the RM series is sweet....

I wouldn't believe that for one moment unless the connectors were faulty. I've got an HX 750 and 650, they've been great.

There are a few threads / blogs on the web roaming around debating that and the quality of components. My opinion... They're not as good as some but that's why the price is very good... for what you get.

Nothing wrong with CX for a budget build. I just wouldn't run a GTX980 off one. Your PSU should reflect your budget. If its over $1500 then spend a proper amount on the PSU

Depends on how much you have to pay for it. Sometimes they're a bit overpriced.
