cant install windows 8 on my cruciall ssd drive

just got an 1151 setup hooked everything up but when i tried toinstall windows 8 onto my ssd that has windows7 installed it said incorrect file type eufi cant install onto selected disk wtf? im new to this my last setup was 1156
Edit: windows7 is still working but limited wont install updates or anything i managed to get chipset drivers installed so things seem normal but they are not there is a hotfix that wont install and I'm thinking that why windows 7 wont work properly but I would prefer to have my ssd take the new o/s
edit: new setup= i56600k gigabyte g1 gaming 170x and gskill ripjaw ddr4
im stumped it wont een let me install a new win7 onto the drive its hooked to a sata6 port im unsure what im doing wrong here.

During the windows install process, when it asks you where you want to install Windows, delete all the partitions on the drive. It should leave you with one unallocated space. Select that to install Windows 8. Note, this will delete everything on the drive.

tried that it didnt work problem i found is win7 and win8 have different file systems so i had to plug the drive in to a different machine pulled the cmd window up and forced it format and forced it to gbt file type which in turn allowed windows 8 to recognize the unallocated space to bootable o/s drive. i found it somewhere on the web one guy had this problem was tricky and it was risking all my data and everything but thanks to google cloud and a bit of luck it worked and im now on windows8 like i have always used it. this new eufi setup is going to take some getting used to all and and i still havent overclocked in my day you could do hardware swap and o/s install with ease sand be benching in and hour LOL

Yeah, that was going to be my next suggestion. You can actually access the command prompt from inside the Windows installer, then run DiskPart and do a Clean command on the drive.
