Anyone on the stock cooler? if so what are your idle and load temps? before I move to any real cooling I'll be seeing how the stock cooler can be improved, its like a hobby of mine to see hoe decent stock cooling can be, so any numbers that folk give are a reference for me.

I helped a mate clock up his e6400 a couple of weeks back. The temps aren't too bad.

Using coretemp:

stock clocks & volts: 38c idle, 48c load

2.8ghz, 1.32v: 38c idle, 53c load.

Not bad temps, but i didn't want to push someone else's pc too far.

not too bad, I bet a half decent fan and a base lapping would drag down temps. The copper base seems to have an odd laqure coating :wtf:

Oh yeah, has anyone had problems with the way the stock cooler mounts? I had to take the plastic lugs off my cooler and resort to zip ties as I couls push a few lugs in, then wnen I went to push the others in another at random would keep popping out completely :\

Yea i had that too, you have to push them in VERY hard, and twist them half, and when they are all in, then turn them like asked ;)

I too had the pin problem. I'm not even sure it all of them are in, but it was my friend's comp and I didn't want to break anything.
