I would rather play the Warcraft 3 campaigns, remastered. I heard they were doing that next.

Agreed, and still waiting on a Warcraft 4 announcement...
I actually installed Warcraft 3 the other night and played a few quick games.

Late reply, but the first Starcraft didn't revolve around fast actions? And while tje drawn out release was annoying, each game was about as long as SC+BW, iirc, so they were proper games actually.
you can certainly zerg rush in the OG, but there are plenty of play styles and the fast clickers weren't always the top dogs. Those willing to wait for resources to build up and upgrade in specific paths could create mayhem for the fast clickers, especially if they've only revealed their satellite bases and have their main base hidden, ready to strike with elite units and upgrades.

Overall its nothing like I see on the competitive SC2 channels, where click frenzy is king and patience is never rewarded.

As to the second point if you're a terrain guy then sure I can see you go with that as hell, your story was straight outta the gate. But if you're a protoss guy it was what 17 years you had to wait for a story continuation? 5 years longer than the terrain!

forgive me if I just no longer give a crap after that BS.

Muta micro required a lot of APM in Broodwar. Splitting marines and stimming them and managing firebat and medic support, juggling them in and out of dropships, also required a lot of APM. So broodwar in many ways had more APM required at the top level than SC2 because in SC2 things can be set to autocast and the units path so much better. When you send a bunch of marines into a canyon they would bunch up along the walls and choke, especially if theres a big siege tank with them.

Example of jaedong's muta control, he is stacking the muta to spread the anti air damage across them and focusing their attack.

Heres boxer with dropship and vulture micro

I believe that they are in fact working on that. I remember seeing something on MMO-Champion regarding this.

Those who have played the remaster, does the interface feel refined or is it purely graphical?

By refined I mean many older games UI's feel 'clunky' and not 'fluid', it's a tough one for me to explain, some people seem to get it.

This is probably the only thing holding me up from buying it.

The goliaths are as clunky as ever and the dragoons are not that far behind, so apart from the graphics and interface nothing really changed.

But that does not matter, because this is still the best strategy game ever.

I am playing StarCraft again after 10 years of pause, this time with no saves and at fastest speed, so it would be more fun and challenging. Granted this does increase the tesnion in missions like Tassadar finding Zeratul surrounded by infested terrans.. I am going to force now my several friends to buy this remastered game so we could play LAN 2 vs 2 like in the older days i used to do that with just one friend.
