Hey, just like to say that i flashed my Connect3d x800gto pcie vivo card, from 12 to 16 pipes:)

And i think that you can too, lots of other have done the same thing.

Oc is possible , but my card wount go past 520 - 560 here i get 6045 points in 3dmark05:toast:

I made it go faster but then it locks up after 15 min. Never seen artifacts, the card just freezes... :ohwell:

3dmark05:
12 pipes "out of the box" 4460
16 pipes original bios no oc 4986
16 pipes powercolor x800xt bios 5690
16 pipes powercolor x800xt bios oc 520 -560 6045

how far can the gto2 go?? (it got better core and ram the gto2, but i think c3d is worth the money)

Post your clokings and scores!

I have my GTO2 unlocked to 16 pipes and running at 560/1220. No artifacts, but I haven't tried higher yet. That is with Artic cooling. It scored 6828 in 3Dmark05 at that clock. Hell of a card for $200. (Is more now)

Connect3d has R423 gpu (i think, dosent say anything on the gpu itself)
memory is samsung 2.0ns (this is a sad thing)

if you want a card that goes past 6000 in 3dmark05, you shold buy a GTO2

Speaking of that Arctic cooler, do you think you could get more performance out of a stock heatsink with Arctic Silver 5? I don't know what manufacturers use, but I've got, from my experience, the best air-cooled heatsink around, an A400, but it's stock from Leadtek. So maybe Arctic silver will increase the performance even more right?

I think it'll help a little. I used AS ceramique on the ATI silencer cooler, instead of the thermal pad.

I guess it says x800pro because I didn't use the powercolor x800xt bios like most.
I used W1zzard's bios from his article and then atitool to raise clocks. Not sure if either bios would make a difference, but I am sticking w/ w1zzard's bios till I hear different.

Actually agp x800pros vivos have 16pipes. C3d X800GTOs also have 16pipes. Most
x800pros only got 12pipes, but some have 16pipes just waiting for a flash ;)

They don't have 16pipes... 4 are disabled.. whether it's a vivo or not.. The vivo's can sometimes be flashed though, to an XT bios..

Why would you flash a card to a 12 pipe BIOS anyhow? Doesn't make sense..

Plus it's clocked at 598mhz, according to that 3dmark link.... How is that bone stock?

You must be bullshitting. :)

You know bone stock, no bolt-ons just tweaks. No intake exhaust downpipe etc.. Maybe a boost controller err a w1zzard bios flash. Its *bone stock* in my book LOL.
