Hey there. So I was wondering if its possible to take the fan out of a zalman vf900 cooler temporarily so its easier to clean the fins. Please tell me how so I don't destroy anything XO, otherwise I'm stuck using a towel, my finger, and cutips.

need to revise my statement as my initial post may very well be incorrect. After examining a few pics at newegg , it looks like there is alot to remove to get to the screws holding on the fan.

I always used one of my girls old fat makeup brushes(washed of course) to loosen debris, back that up with a good blast of compressed air and they were good as new.

No... as if void the warranty. The fan is very easy to remove, two screws and plate.

just unscrew the two screws holding the fan... i've just cleaned my vf900cu-led... it was very easy....
