Low scores??? PLEASE HELP!

Ok, look at my system specs, and you would think I would get decent PCMark and 3dMark scores, well I just ran PCMark05 and I got a score of 2446. Correct me if I'm wrong, but that seems unrealistically low. Hell, Im running FEAR and Oblivion at the highest resolution supported, all settings including AA and AF maxed out smoothly, so why is my score so low?

If you're running games like that maxed out you shouldn't worry about scores :eek:

I can't say I follow PCMark scores, what did you get for 3dmark06 though?

But really if you are running the games maxed, why are you worrying about the scores?

That score 2446 is low...I get(4669) with the rig in the sig and on XP Pro http://service.futuremark.com/orb/resultanalyzer.jsp?projectType=13&XLID=0&UID=10196205
please post back link (like i did) so I can see your week spots and compare that to your rig

Meh, I just ran 3dMark06, and I guess its an ok score. PCMark05 must be a fluke...

uh....8 grand is around a 8600.. :wtf:

Ive seen 20,000 scores with 8800's. Have you done anything to the BIOS? Oh and how many amps are on your PSU's 12 Volt?

18amps on the 12v. My 8800 performed great on the graphics tests for 3dMark06, its my CPU that got an average of 0fps on the CPU tests that got me the 8 grand score.

No, the CPU tests are like that. Vince, you need a new psu hard core, isnt there like 12 pins attached to the 8800? Thats like 4 molex's? And theres a 12 volt, 3.3(I think) on each molex, so lets see 4 12 wires, 8 grounds...I can keep going

lol get a higher watt PSU 18A just isnt enough for a oc'd AX2 and an 8800

Driver update(chipset, video), windows update, new bios flash should do the trick...also amd dual core optimizer and Microsoft's windows xp dual core patch...

PS- Im getting 500kbs on speedtest.net, and the router is across the street and is about a total length between the router and my wireless card is about 250ft. Plus its going through two hurricane aprooved walls. Thats faster than my old DSL.

Windows update works? Last time I did that the boot loader craped out, bad stuff. Just search dual core optimization for your proc in google, it will lead you on the right track.
