Naaaaa it's boring, had a life full of it, if you wanna ask infrared to move this stuff to a new thread I will post a couple of pics there tomorrow rather than continuing to hijack....especially as I wann see how this 6850 performs!

It's stable at 4.1ghz with 1.56v.

Here's a sciencemark run i just did:

EDIT: it's doing weird stuff though, if you're close to the limits of the chip @ whatever voltage, while you're running Orthos or any other stresstest, it causes the system to restart before any errors are detected, if that makes sence

Do you have a setting in the BIOS that reboots on error? If so, turn it off...

I see a lot of "Dual-Core" Allendale 1.8GHz processors making it to 3000MHz... I wonder if you could get one to 4GHz o_o

Having looked around in my favorite e tailers I see the Q6600 is now cheaper than the 6850, if you can get one with the G0 stepping I wonder how that would perform overclocked in comparison, I seem to remember in the 3 Mark 2006 thread, the lead 8800GTX score (I think it's now 2nd) showed a CPU score considerably higher than a 6600 score where the 6600 was clocked at 4.1Gig.....the Q6600 was only clocked at 3.3Gig

The G0's average 3.65 ghz and the B3 avergage 3.3 to 3.4

No only got my Major a year before I left, remember I went thru the ranks....didnt join as an officer, only 1 in every 500 ever make it thru the ranks to commission so it went like this:

Private>Lance Corporal>Corporal>Sergeant>Staff/Colour Sergeant>Warrant Officer Class 2>Warrant officer Class 1>Leiutenant (there is a lower 2nd Leiutenant but dont do that if U go thru the ranks)> Captain> Major. The highest you can possibly go if commisioned thru the ranks is Leiutenant Colonel but you cant get that before 50th Birthday (thru the ranks), I left at 43.

Trt.......I have only seen 2 guys in here with the Q6600 on the G0 stepping, one got 3.9 Gig, the other 3.8Gig, in real world benching (incl 3D 2006) 3.3Gig on a Q6600 gives a higher score that 4.1Gig on a E6700, check out the screenie that the guy who is now 2nd to you got for his 8800GTX run with his Q6600....you will see that he had hugely higher CPU test score than the top ATi guy with his dual core running at 4.1Gig.

That does not suck!

Does your multi go to 10x? I'm to lazy to look up or do the math...

My guess is you've hit a ceiling if you haven't already relaxed your memory timings. But I've seen magic happen before. I've also seen systems both reboot or report errors when pushed to the limit.
