Aweful SONY. Limited reinstalls is unacceptable. I often upgrade the PC, administer partitions, uninstall games to save space... reinstall them later, etc. A software purchase "bound" to one hardware setup is truely aweful. Didn't SONY learn already from its rootkit mistakes?

Read the link in the quote guys. The protection sucks, but it's not that bad. You can have it on up to 5 computers at once, and can reinstall it up to 5 times on each.

BUT, if you use their deauthorization app, you can deauthorize a computer, and install it to a different one, without using one of your 5 activations. If you use the app before an uninstall and reinstall, you also DO NOT use any of your activations.
