I had posted last week about this, and had suggestions but I still cannot figure out the problem.
I can't set my resolution no higher than 1680x1050, because when I do i can take my mouse to the right and left on my screen, and it scrolls. Just like you were scrolling in a web page on the internet. Its not much, only like an inch im losing on either side, but when im gaming something i can't see that inch of the screen, so the highest that is viewable is 1440x900 right now on my 22' acer model number AL2216W, and if anybody needs anymore information to help me out here on why this is doing this i can probably just upload my monitors manual somewhere and put it on here, so you can take a look at it.
I really want to get this fixed, but this is like running 800x600 on a regular CRT(Quality wise)
but when i put it on 1680x1050 its wonderful, its like running (1280x1024 on a regular crt) but i can't do that because that scrolling stuff won't let me view my own picture, either left or right im out an inch.
If you don't quite understand i can post a couple picture of screenshots, and if you have any questions please ask me because i really want to get this situation under control, this monitor rocks!
