How much have prices dropped in the last 6 months?

I'm debating upgrading my video card now or waiting 6 months to do so. I've been eyeing the 7800GTs but can't convince myself to spend $320 to upgrade from my 6600GT, although I could sell my card for ~$100 and only end up spending $220 for the 7800GT. I currently have a Sempron 2800+ and 1 gig of Crucial Value 3200DDR so do you feel that will be a huge bottleneck if I do decide to upgrade? I could get the ASRock 939 board and an Athlon64 3000+ Venice and OC that chip. Do you think it would be worth it? With the memory I have, how much of an OC can I expect?

Sorry for the 50 questions but I just felt I should throw it all out there for you guys! I just got Half Life 2 (late, yes) and am loving it at 1280x960 with 2xAA enabled. I can only imagine playing this game at 1600x1200 with 4xAA on. Gaaah...I'm drooling! :rockout:

Thanks!

I have an AGP card. I usually just run it at the stock 500/900 settings. It will OC to 570/1010 no prob.
