the AVG seems about right but is the minimum too low?

Is the retail have better performance or is vista just bad?

How would DX10 run?

The average is above 60fps, so I wouldn't really worry, it'll be on the heaviest system load situations that it'll drop down in the upper 20's, and I'm sure it'll be short lived if even noticable. :toast:

The minimum could be cause of many enemies , shadows , flames and stuff rendered at the same time. I wouldnt worry

i know 23 is playable but is that supposed to be my min..........

let's say you have a qx6850 @ 4 GHz 8800ultra sli'd and you only get 60 fps avg @ HL2

and someone says "60 fps is playable, don't worry"

the person would be pissed they didn't pay for that

but accordting 2 u guys 23 fps min is normal for my system

it was in the waterfall place in the demo but I remmeber my single core athlon 64 4000+ @ 2.9 GHz got 18 min in that place in XP and x10 maxed

do i need 163.44?

You are talking about a new game so if you play it with graphics maxed out what did you expect ?
