Whoopsy daisy.
Good on them for actually acknowledging the issue and -gasp- doing something effective to rectify the problem! Far to often it seems to be deny deny deny. Way to go ASUS!
Seriously give them tap on shoulder lol

Eh riiight, you mean a pat on the back?
As a tap on the shoulder, would be more along the lines of excuse me, you have a bug crawling on your leg type of thing...either way. Have at it ;)

Yes that's clearly a diode, now show me one on a modern motherboard.
I can't believe you don't see these. They are small. I have the Asus z690 maximus extreme. Zoom in at the photo and you will see some right of the ram slots. You see one of them with 3 silver pins sticking out on both sides...I rest my case

OK. ...If you have the motherboard can you take a very clear photo of it so I can clearly see it as zooming in on the photo is very fuzzy, can't see anything.

Intel wattage jokes put aside for the moment, yeah - anything that can power 300W+ can obviously go bang in dangerous ways.

The teacher who taught me electical safety had one eye, because he installed a capacitor backwards.
It's uhh... it's not surprising he wasn't the best teacher.

My board for CPU reviews, lucky me

Imagine the chaos if a major reviewer got un-alived by explosive review hardware

You've been caught trying to be clever. I know what your going to say/post next. Clever, but not as smart as the other user which I gave an up-vote

Every now and again companies produce dud products, how these companies react is a way of testing that company.

The 5 star score is given on product recalls.
The 1 star score is given when its not even acknowledged and company pretends it isnt a problem.

Asus is trash, but the rest is worse, unless you are ready to pay double for an EVGA mobo...
