AGON by AOC—one of the world's leading gaming monitor and IT accessories brands - presents the first monitors from the new, 5th generation of the AGON series: the AG275QX/EU and the AG275QXN/EU. Featuring a 27" (68.6 cm) display size and Fast IPS (AG275QX/EU) or Fast VA panels (AG275QXN/EU), both QHD models reach a 165 Hz refresh rate and offer 1 ms GtG response time to display fast moving, competitive action accurately. Meanwhile, DisplayHDR 400 and a wide colour gamut render popping, vivid colours.

The AG275QXN/EU features an industry-first flat Fast VA panel, with a responsiveness fit for competitive multiplayer titles while having the rich contrast of VA panels to create a fantastic immersion for story-driven, single player games. The AG275QX/EU on the other hand, features superior colour accuracy and 10-bit colour depth with its Fast IPS panel, ideal for the content creator/gamer audience. In line with AOC's dedication to sustainability, the monitors are sold in paper cushion packaging that is 100% recyclable.

Developed for today's multifaceted gamers, these monitors feature a brand new, angular design with straight lines, suitable for many gamer's desks: a premium and sturdy metal base with minimal footprint, 3-sides frameless panels to achieve tight dual or triple-monitor setups for multi-tasking, as well as a height-adjustable, ergonomic stand with built-in carrying handle for easy transport to LAN parties or tournaments.

The AG275QX/EU with its flat Fast IPS panel employs 10-bit colour depth to reproduce 1.07 billion colours with high colour accuracy. To handle fast-paced competitive action, its 165 Hz refresh rate (overclockable to 170 Hz) and 1 ms GtG response time delivers sharp, practically ghosting-free visuals. Thanks to IPS technology, the AG275QX/EU offers excellent wide viewing angles.

The AG275QXN/EU features a flat Fast VA panel with an outstanding 1 ms GtG response time, quashing the negative stigma towards "slower" VA panels. Equipped with one of the first flat VA panels with a 1 ms GtG in the world, the AG275QXN/EU delivers a responsiveness just as fast as its IPS siblings thanks to its 165 Hz refresh rate, with the added benefit of deeper blacks and higher contrast ratio of 3000:1.

Both models come in native QHD resolution (2560x1440), beneficial in day-to-day tasks and allowing to see finer details in games and videos. It is also today's ideal resolution for gaming, a substantial step-up from Full HD, but still lower than 4K, so most new graphic cards can achieve high framerates in QHD. Both AGON 5 models can also be used in Console Mode, which can accept 4K @ a 120 Hz signal and downscale it to 2560x1440, while still letting console gamers enjoy the benefit of high (120 Hz) refresh rates.

To create an even higher sharpness for moving images, both models offer the MBR (Motion Blur Reduction) function to achieve 1 ms MPRT. In this mode, the backlight will strobe in tune with the refresh rate, so that slower pixel transitions become practically invisible, creating the cleanest transition between individual frames. Extreme low input lag also ensures that the users' inputs will translate to visuals almost instantly, enabling gamers to compete at the highest levels. While the AG275QXN/EU supports Adaptive-Sync, the AG275QX/EU is also NVIDIA G-Sync compatible, so no artefacts such as tearing or stuttering due to frame-mismatch will be present in both models.

The new design of the AGON 5 series feels premium yet simple to suit any gamer aesthetics out there. Versatile to allow gamers to connect further peripherals, joysticks, gamepads etc, the models feature a 4-port USB 3.2 Gen 1 hub. The ergonomic and sturdy metal stand offers 150 mm height adjustment, -20/20° swivel range, -5/23° tilt range and 90° pivot orientation - making long gaming sessions much more comfortable than ever. A VESA mount option further increases the flexibility. FlickerFree technology and Low Blue Mode contribute to healthier gaming, especially in the evening.

Both models feature G-Menu, AGON by AOC's main software suite to control monitors and other AOC peripherals, offering a wide range of customisation options. A 4-way joystick provides an alternative OSD control.

AGON AG275QX/EU and AG275QXN/EU will be available from September 2022 at an MSRP of £339.99 and £279.99, respectively.

I think we have enough 27" 165hz panels at the moment...BTW, am I the only one that thinks 27" is too small? In a work/office environment where you're constrained I understand it, but at home I feel like it's too small, 32" is the smallest I'll go....anyone remember about 5 years ago when there were a few 21:9 ultrawide TV's? I wish that'd come back....it'd be so awesome if LG released a 21:9 Ultrawide OLED that was at least 55" (though a whole range from 43" up to 75" would be cool), 120hz, HDMI 2.1 with VRR/freelance, but most importantly, with a resolution of 5120x2160....it'd make such an awesome TV/monitor

That whole red & black being the official colors of PC gaming is such a cliche, played out trope at this point that not a single piece of PC hardware or a peripheral should ever be in red & black ever again just on principle alone.

If that flat fast VA panel is equal to Samsung's curved VA panels found on Neo G series then it's not more of the same.
