Resident TechPowerUp hardware database overseer T4C Fantasy has divulged some early information about a custom version of the NVIDIA GeForce RTX 4060 Ti GPU card - Colorful's catchily named iGame RTX 4060 Ti Ultra White OC model has been added to the TPU GPU database, and T4C Fantasy has revealed a couple of tidbits on Twitter. The GPU has been tuned to have a maximum boost clock of 2580 MHz, jumping from a base clock of 2310 MHz. According to past leaks the reference version of the GeForce RTX 4060 Ti has a default boost clock of 2535 MHz, so Colorful's engineers have managed to add another 45 MHz on top of that with their custom iteration - so roughly 2% more than the reference default.

T4C Fantasy also confirmed that the Colorful iGame RTX 4060 Ti Ultra W OC will be appointed with 8 GB of VRAM, which also matches the reference model's rumored memory spec. T4C Fantasy points out that brands have the option to produce RTX 4060 Ti cards with a larger pool of attached video memory, but launch models will likely stick with the standard allotment of 8 GB of VRAM. The RTX 4060 Ti is listed as being based on the Ada Lovelace GPU architecture (GPU variant AD106-350-A1), and T4C Fantasy expects that Team Green will stick with a 5 nm process size - contrary to reports of a transition to manufacturing on 4 nm (chez TSMC foundries).

Wait dit we not all ready conclude that 8 gb vram is to little vram at this point In time even the weakest rtx 3050 last gen came with 8 gb vram.

With that I see 4060 ti as a DOA card all ready before release. It should have come with 10 gb vram. Lower than that is pointless in my opinion.

Also if the rumors about rtx 4050 only comes with 6 gb vram.

Nvidia really has to think twice about it.

So, 3060 Ti 4864 CUDA cores and 448GB/sec bandwidth, 4060 Ti 4352 CUDA cores and 288GB/sec. But overclocked and with lower power consumption. I think Nvidia doesn't want people to buy 4060 Ti and have any strange ideas, like 1440p gaming. 1080p only.

So a 4060Ti, will in theory be about as fast as the 3070/3060Ti and still use 8GB....

Oh! Sign me up, Nvidia! I need a GPU that's not much faster than your Ampere, costs $500 and still only comes with 8GB.

Hi,
Nobody wins in price point gpu's sector it's just wasted $$ in the long run.
But hell with the depreciation and hardware advancements guess there's no bullet proof purchase so play gpu limbo contest

"8 GB VRAM Confirmed"

4060TI will most likely cost $449 or even $499 and perform like 3070 while consuming 40W less power. Where's the added value? 8 gigs of VRAM makes it 1080p proof GPU and nothing more, especially if you enable DLSS+RT. Just get a new RX 6950XT or used 3090, undervolt them or a new RX 6800(XT) if you wanna stay inside 500 bucks budget and call it a day for the next 4 years. , This s@hit of a GPU will not last you 4 years outside 1080p realm, not with 8 gigs of VRAM. It's all FU. Today's dGPU maket has become an utter joke. Ngreedia doesn't seem to care about gaming market anymore or Jensen just thinks most PC gamers are :kookoo:

Nvidia already decided, but 4050 will be actually 4030 with 6gb vram. 4050 expect to be 1660 super refresh and beat rtx 3060 performance so could be barely good for cyberpunk 2077 rt off IF they provide adequate driver. Just roam North Oak area to make sure. Dlss base for 1080p is 720p so already a mess. 200$ price and 100$ value so better go with Arc refresh / radeon. The already lowered boost/base clocks suggest even 4060 yields will be trash. If they delay 4060/4050 beyond 1st May means it’s problematic.

The insider bird at Ngreedia told Brad Chacos, executive editor of PCWorld, that they decided to crippled their gaming dGPU lineup by narrower memory bus and a lack of VRAM in order not to canabalize their professional Quadro line sales. It makes sense from a bussiness perspective, but I really hope gamers won't accept it.

Well 4070 performs like a 3080, but at least offers 2gb more VRAM with much lower consumption and spikes. 4060 ti might be at 3070 level, but with the same VRAM and much narrower bandwidth. Also the consumption advantage won’t be that important, because 3070 is probably the most efficient Ampere card. It looks like 3070 might end up as a better choice, depending on price of course.

Nvidia is evil, sad to see how they abuse pc gamers by making their mid range cards dead on arrival forcing you to buy their highest margins cards, they must be sued to the ground, someone must step in, they have crossed the line this generation, either you buy a 4090, or get 12gb cards that barley last two years or are dead on arrival with below minimum vram

wdym man this will feature the AD106 or something which'll cost nv like, maybe $75 to make while they're charging us $475 for the 4060ti

lets face it, all geforce cards these days are highest margins cards, jensen's taking his tithe whether youre buying a 4050 or 4090

A whole bunch of game developers seem to be saying that making games run in 8GB VRAM has been an ongoing nightmare and as soon as previous-gen (PS4/XB1) consoles are dropped by publishers and they're no longer forced to make it happen, 8GB GPUs will be obsolete overnight:

I don't know when that will be but I can't imagine it's far away.

$75 would be a very high estimate, the die size is barley bigger than Intel's ultra low end Pentium processors (the G7400 for example) and Intel is selling that CPU for $90. It's at best a $200 product being sold for $400 - $500 and beyond a ripoff with inadequate RAM right out of the gate.

Dead on arrival.

If people are forced to buy a new GPU in short order, Nvidia likely only sees that as a win. 95% of those people will go right ahead and buy another Nvidiai card. Gamers don't seem to vote with their wallets and the tech press rolls over whenever Nvidia drops new cards. Case in point, the positive tone of 4070 reviews across the board. It's an actual joke.

Software W10 21H1, barely
Benchmark Scores I once clocked a Celeron-300A to 564MHz on an Abit BE6 and it scored over 9000.
Remember the 8800GTS 320/640

Buncha scammers.

I bought the 320 :D

Was pissed later and traded some hardware and coin for the 8800 GTX.
Hmm, I had a few of those.
I don't remember VRAM being a problem, but I also remember buying GTS-512 cards more, so clearly the 320 was dropped faster than an ugly baby.
