The European brand expands its portfolio of PCIe Gen 4 x4 SSDs in M.2 format with a model dedicated to the PS 5 console. It is the IRDM PRO SLIM - ideal not only for gamers, but also professionals and enthusiasts.

The IRDM PRO SLIM is a twin model of the IRDM PRO M.2 SSD. Unlike its predecessor, the new drive is offered without a heatsink, making it 100% compliant with Sony's requirements for PlayStation 5 console drives. The technical parameters speak in favour of choosing an SSD from a European manufacturer. Maximum read and write speeds are 7000/6850 MB/s, respectively. The PCIe 4 x4 NVMe interface delivers twice the speed of older 3 x4 solutions. The memory speed is also influenced by DRAM buffer of up to 2 GB, thanks to which the drive works stably even under heavy use.

The controller used is a high-tech eight-channel Phison PS5018-E18. It is compatible version of the NVMe 1.4 protocol. IRDM PRO SLIM is available in three capacities: 1, 2 and 4 TB. Such range allows to choose the right SSD for needs and expectations of the user, and reduces the risks associated with the drive filling up too quickly with games, programs or data.

The IRDM PRO SLIM is dedicated not only to PS5 consoles. It is also great storage for desktops and laptops, both for home and professional use. The latest SSD with the IRDM logo is not only a product for gamers who want to expand their game library, but perfect solution for professionals who greatly value their system responsiveness and application speed. PC or laptop equipped with a PCIe 4 x4 interface drive will perform well in tasks such as 3D animation creation, modeling, photo processing, video editing, rendering or working on huge data sets.

The drive comes with a 5-year manufacturer's warranty limited by a TBW limit.

Is this the euro price ? cause if it is, that translates to approximately $84 USD, which atm, is about $20 higher than most other 1TB drives available on this side of the pond...

I'm using a 512GB Gen 3 x4 right now. Cost me $20 and it runs PS5 games just fine. Burst read is only 1500 MB/s, but so far I haven't noticed any issues. I assume at some point Devs will actually use the high speed part to completely remove loading screens. However, that is only going to be for PS5 exclusives. If its multi-console / pc, the high speed part won't be utilized.

That is PLN - Polish currency

also keep in mind that on our side of the pond, our prices are with tax included - so additional 23% included in that price

339 PLN ~ €76
but without tax, it would be around..
282 PLN ~ €63 -> which in USD give you around $68
