Meh starfield seems to be this years Cyperpunk 2077. Way to demanding on hardware, bugs and crap optimized.
Game releases these days are more about milk people for money, before they realize they have board another pile of hot mess of a game.
This is exactly why i droppet preorders, a long time a go and read reviews before even thinking on buying a game. They never change. Earn my trust, before you earn my money douchebags.
You are free not to buy and play in initial stage.
There are already more than 200,000 concurrent players with early access.
Allow them to enjoy it.

No crash so far with Starfield and I played 24h+ from Friday to the end of Sunday. I didn't encounter any weird bugs.
Only a few texture glitches...oh wait I had a static NPC going into the roof just after I loaded my game the other day xD he met the stars I guess.

It will be optimised for sure but my laptop can make it run on ultra 1080p with smooth gameplay and I enjoy it even with some FPS loss in some areas.

Bethesda has done 100% better than CDprojektWreck for their release.

I can't wait to go home after work and play a bit X)

i'll get when it's 50%+ off and "GOTY" with all DLCs... i'm in no hurry to be a paying beta tester for a SP game, i don't have FOMO.

heck, i still haven't finished oblivion.... not even started skyrim because i promised not to touch skyrim before finishing oblivion

The dev's of STARFIELD on the other hand created the illusion that it's the ultimate space sim you where dreaming of since ages

Maybe I missed something but I didn't see nearly as much hype for this as Cyberpunk.

Either way the biggest space sim will always be star citizen... if it ever gets finished that is :D - or kerbal for science nerds ;)

GOTY" with all DLCs

This is the way

i haven't seen starfield marketed as a "space sim" anywhere, it's certainly not one.

Also i haven't seen that much hype for starfield either compared to cybertrash, i think it's because bethesda never revealed much info about it at all until near the launch.
Compared to cdtrainwreck with their bombastic presentations with keanu and E3 footage(which turned out to be practically a whole different game to even the current game -even the crowds shown instead of a city are more like a small town-) bethesda at most showed the simplistic starfield logo and that's it.

I don't know why many people hate on Cyberpunk so much. I honestly enjoyed playing it, and I didn't encounter a fraction of the bugs I saw in clickbait youtube videos. I'm sure I would enjoy Starfield, too, I just never pay full price for an AAA game, that's all.

"Luxurious flat a couple dozen yards away from the magnificent beach, VIP car park, outstanding interiors, a load of qualified staff for any of your needs, and a top-notch helicopter" is what they told us they will unload upon us.

And we got a rat infested cockroach den with a toothpick sized loo room paired with the toxic muddy piece of "lake" adjacent to the said beach. Not to mention you, from time to time, can possibly get tasered for no apparent reason. Top-notch heli? Car park? Well, probably you can count a used mousepad as a car park and helicobacter as a helicopter...

Straight from the horses mouth:

"You know, I think like a lot of gamers out there, we have dreamed of a game where we looked at the skies and we can blast off into space where you could explore with complete freedom in the galaxy."
Todd Howard (2023)

Right there with you, Bethesda kept pretty low key until close to launch. On the other hand the Cyberpunk 2077 Teaser (27m views now) created already crazy hype, 8 years before release. Tbh. it's one of the best teasers ever. Still getting chills even though I've watched it a dozen times already.

Well, if you believe all the promises and hold your expectations high. I don't. :)

I usually expect the direct opposite of what companies bigger than my balls promise to us or, at the very least, inconsistent beta (most probably forever beta) product. Just because the bigger the company the greater their lies.

About 97 percent correct prediction rate so far.

The problem of the CP2077 is that CDPR hyped on their Witcher 3 success + promised us something even more impressive... and it really is more impressive. It's a bigger fail than the Witcher 3 was a win.
