Assassin's Creed Mirage launches on October 5 - and if you're looking forward to exploring ninth-century Baghdad on a PC, we've got a rundown of specifications to help you figure out the right settings to get the best possible experience out of your machine, as well as a list of additional features you can take advantage of provided you've got the right hardware.

As you experience the journey of Basim to become a Hidden One and undertake elaborate investigations and assassinations, you'll be able to immerse yourself in his world with an uncapped frame rate, even in 4K; simultaneously use a keyboard, mouse, and controller (or other inputs); and get a dazzling panoramic view with HDR as well as multi-monitor and widescreen support. You'll also be able to leverage features like Intel's AI-assisted XeSS Super Sampling, which upscales resolution while enabling hardware to pump out more frames per second; optimization for Intel Arc GPUs and 13th-generation CPUs; synchronize ambient lighting with the game's action using MSI's Mystic Light products; and even experience upper-body haptic feedback with the OWO Haptic Gaming System vest (which is also supported on consoles).

Play Assassin's Creed Mirage on PC and fully immerse yourself in 9th century Baghdad. Take advantage of INTEL technology to bring your gaming experience to the next level.

Here's a look at a few possible hardware configurations, and what performance specs to target with them (all require DirectX 12):

yeah but that is also because of how ermm "reasonable" the game looks.

really people should just look at actual game footage and then decide what they feel would be fair requirements and then see how the stacks up.
I think if you do that you would find for example Starfield, completely rediculous.

I kinda love how reasonable those requirements are.

It's annoying that they always state far superior AMD parts, fo example Ryzen 5 1600 is 50% faster than Core i7-4790K.
This makes a very bad impression and works against AMD's interests. Because this is a propaganda trying to convince the users that the AMD parts are always inferior, so you need to buy a much higher and more expensive AMD part to make it "equal" with the competitors' offerings.
It sucks, of course.

... the thing is, Bulldozer wouldn't be able to compete against a 4790k but i agree that they could have chosen a Ryzen 5 1500X instead of the 1600 or that they list the 3600 and the 3700X ... both should perform the same if it doesnt use more than six cores. apart from that it seems reasonable

dual-channel memory requirement is absolute nonsense. I don't know who the clown is who invented this "requirement".
Playing games on a system with single channel memory is a stutter fest.

Intel-sponsored game and the video only mentions XeSS. Here we go. :D

If the requirements are accurate, then they're very reasonable. Graphics look very good, I don't know why people are complaining. I think you just have to complain these days. I'd rather have slightly dated visuals with great performance.

Should be a much shorter game than the last three, so as long as it's polished, it might be a good idea to get Ubisoft+ for a month to play through this and Motorfest.

I am not sure in which metric you are referring to when it is 50% faster. I checked gaming benchmarks where people ran the CPU's head to head and at stock the 1600 is either a equal or a small percentage ahead of the 4790K.

But the 4790K can then be overclocked and beat the 1600 in all comparisons.

Games like frequency and early Ryzen was not as capable as it is now. I am not sure why something that is true is being called propaganda. AMD from my experience is very well lauded online and intel is commonly dragged. Is it possible that they tested the game and found from their tests those two were the closest when it came to running the software? It is stated as though there is an adversity that AMD chips are overcoming, but I have only seen to the contrary.

They are pretty reasonable. But also.... I kinda have to see it to believe it.

And they listed what Intel cards would run what.
I also love that

dual-channel memory requirement is absolute nonsense. I don't know who the clown is who invented this "requirement".
I think it makes sense. If the requirements are as they state they are, and somebody with single channel memory doesn't get the listed fps, they might blame the game, when really its the single stick of memory thats holding them back.

Its not like its a requirement to play the game, but it might be required to hit the specified fps target with said hardware.

Or maybe thats just what they tested with, so they included that information. Like okay here's the machines we tested on and here's our results.

The hidden part is that FSR is active in ultra performance mode on all presets. Real performance is 20fps with their $1000 GPUs*

*Just making fun of those who are complaining about the requirements. :p

Having a hard time believing those numbers. The last AC I've played was Odyssey (have Valhalla, but did not try it yet) and had a hard time maintaining stable 60fps on a 3060Ti at 1440p, but I'm supposed to believe that this one will only need a 2070? Sure, the game seems smaller scale than the previous 3, but I'm still pressing X for doubt here.

I don't think those performance numbers are counting with upscaling in mind. Mostly because architectures without DP4a instructions like anything below RTX or RDNA2 tend to gain very little performance from XeSS. Even if they're also using FSR2, on GPUs without 2*FP16 throughput like the GTX1060 and RX570 the overhead gets so big they also don't gain much.

It looks like this is a game that will run like a charm on handhelds. The Steam Deck should run it comfortably at 800p, the Phoenix handhelds at 1080p and I guess they're probably making a Swith 2 version as well. And if we eventually get handhelds with the new Meteor Lake, performance should be quite good on those as well.

I kinda love how reasonable those requirements are.

The requirements are so reasonable it's almost weird, and the game looks reasonably good. When was the last time we got a AAA game demanding only 40GB of storage?
The only outlier is them demanding a SSD on all tiers, but I'm guessing they only got it down to 40GB because they're finally getting rid of all the data repetition that game installs traditionally have (had?) to decrease seek times in HDDs and discs.

I just hope Ubisoft is getting rid of the massive bloating that's been piling up on their Assassin's Creed series.

It doesn't have AMD in the title, so I doubt it will generate nearly as much outrage / clicks.

I didn't know this. Must be something recent because the memory speed has never had so much impact on the performance, let alone gaming performance.
Do you have benchmarks to support your claim?

I am not sure in which metric you are referring to when it is 50% faster.

Usual benchmarks like this one:

Releasing of a new Assassin's Creed, is just like the release for a new iPhone.
Almost exact same thing for the past 4 releases, just under different skins.
