Uncover the source of the supernatural darkness in Remedy Entertainment's Alan Wake 2, with the power of the GeForce RTX 40 Series. Experience two beautiful yet terrifying worlds enhanced with full ray tracing for the highest levels of fidelity, accelerated and enhanced by DLSS 3.5 with Ray Reconstruction. And get the most responsive gameplay possible thanks to NVIDIA Reflex. Solve the deadly mysteries of Alan Wake 2 with RTX On - the definitive way to play.

In 2019, NVIDIA and Remedy Entertainment partnered to enhance Control, one of the first ray-traced and DLSS-enhanced games, which to this day remains a stunning title that demonstrates the advanced capabilities of the PC platform. In Alan Wake 2, our technical partnership takes the PC edition of Remedy's new, eagerly awaited game to the next level with fully ray-traced, path-traced graphics that are beyond anything you've previously seen.

To celebrate our technical partnership, we're today introducing a new Alan Wake 2 GeForce RTX 40 Series Bundle, available until November 13th. Buyers of eligible GeForce RTX 4070, 4070 Ti, 4080 and 4090 graphics cards and desktop PCs, or a laptop with a GeForce RTX 4090 Laptop GPU, RTX 4080 Laptop GPU, or RTX 4070 Laptop GPU from select retailers and etailers will receive a digital copy of the game, to play when released on October 27th.

You'll find eligible GPUs, desktops and laptops at numerous system builders and retailers worldwide. Head to the Alan Wake 2 bundle homepage to see the complete list of participating partners in your country.

Once you've bought any qualifying product, you'll receive email instructions on how to redeem your bundle, and just a few clicks later you'll add Alan Wake 2 to your Epic Games Store account. And by installing our Game Ready Driver that'll be released shortly before the game's launch, your new hardware will be ready to rock and roll, delivering the definitive experience in this highly anticipated game.

That's still an abysmal deal.

True, but at about 600 usd less than the 4090 it at least starts to make some sense and I would still 100% pay that over 920-950 ish on a 7900XTX.

This is also the price I suspect it to drop to if they introduce a theoretical 4080ti so it might make sense to some who want to game at 4k and hate FSR.

The leather looks great with RT on. Some of the chrome/silverware surfaces are a little too shiny. Everything else is WAY too shiny, those obviously used plates are like mirrors. This seems to be the theme with RT, way over lit! To the point where things no longer look realistic. The leather does look superb, very accurate if they were going for that spotless and well maintained leather restaurant booth look. I love how the shadows cast at the seam where the seating and back portion meet.

As GPU complexity goes up prices go up. THey aren't coming back down. People need to realize that.

GPUs have been increasing in complexity since their beginning and yet it is only recently that prices have massively increased and only for desktop GPUs. Prices of phones, consoles, and other devices that include GPUs have not seen the same massive increase that desktop GPUs have.

Nvidia's gross margins are at a whopping 70%, completely blowing past Apple's 44.5%. If it's Apple that coined the term Apple tax due to it's massive markup, it's safe to say that the 70% markup on GPUs is not grounded in any real cost increase in manufacturing GPUs. Financial statements don't lie, it is markup plain and simple.

Interestingly, I have the impression that with RT activated it becomes less realistic. it seems that it forcefully makes most materials look super polished and shiny.

My take on this promo for GeForce RTX 40 Series. Everyone know the 4060 offer bad value in all ways. And Nvidia want to rub it in. You "stupids" who bought this overpriced 128bit scam (in short 4050 card) isn't worthy getting the free bundle with Alan Wake 2. You went too cheapo for Nvidia CEO Jensen's taste(you are not an Graphics entusiast), hence Nvidia want to screw you a second time, LOOL

The card’s price is too low to include a 50-60£ AAA game and bring profit for the AIB, nVidia and Remedy (and Epic) at the same time.

But for me, the greens should have included the 4060 in the deal, absorbing the cost. Just to sell loads of 4060s.
Which’s value is quite low in general…

Νot true. High end phones used to cost 500-600€, as much as a gpu. Now they can hit up to 2k.

No it doesn't? The 4060 costs 310€ with taxes in EU, it's competitor costs 270 and its called an rx 7600. The 4060 is much better and worth the 40€ premium so...what are you saying?

I've been saying it for a while, Twitch and YouTube have promoted gamer nerd culture. Nvidia and other manufacturers didn't hesitate to slap a tax on it.

AMD had no problem bundling TLOU with cards as low as the RX 6400 or games like Starfield or Lies of P with the RX 6600. (Edit: looks like it's systems with RX 6600 or better in the case for Lies of P)

But even if we give Nvidia the benefit of the doubt with the 4060, I'm not sure what their excuse for excluding the 4060 Ti as well is.

A 3rd, even a 4th quality player might change that. Sadly Intel are releasing low end cards only....
Man, I do miss the 90's. You had the pioneer 3DFx which started the whole 3D Hardware Accelerated Gaming, then the competition from ATi, NVidia, Matrox, S3, 3D Labs, BitBoys, Real3D, Rendition, ViA, PowerVR, etc, etc. The rivalry was exceptional. The prices were good too because of that.
Now? nGreedia monopoly and callous ridiculous prices.

4060 should have been 4050 and with an MSRP at $249. I don't like throw my hard earned money on trash. But that's me.

Nvidia Clown Themselves… Again! GeForce RTX 4060 Review

Edit: Here home the cheapest 4060 cost $360.80 or $451.08 USD incl tax.

Curious, you bought a 7800XT for 1080p60? or is there a monitor upgrade in the works too?

Very keen to try Alan Wake 2, not buying 40 series for that though.

Already done. I've got a 3440x1440 144 Hz Dell ultrawide now. It's a bit early for Christmas, but I thought, what the heck. :D

Agreed, I was only joking. :) Although, I wouldn't mind getting my hands on a 4060 for my HTPC if it was a bit (or should I say, a lot) cheaper.
