GIGABYTE Technology, a leading global powerhouse in motherboards, graphics cards, and cutting-edge hardware solutions, is ready to usher in the era of Intel Core 14th gen processors with a complete lineup of Z790/Z690 series motherboards. Especially, From the flagship Z790 AORUS XTREME X to the versatile Z790 AORUS ELITE X, the X Gen series is engineered to optimize the performance of Intel Core 14th gen processors and drive DDR5 memory faster than ever.

The AORUS Z790 X Gen motherboards, equipped with cutting-edge technologies, deliver best-in-class DDR5 compatibility and leading performance, supporting up to DDR5 XMP-8266 and beyond. The most crucial technology for DDR5's leading performance is the newly introduced Back Drilling Technology, which enhances signal integrity, resulting in improved system performance and heightened reliability.

Furthermore, AORUS Z790 X Gen motherboards also boasts several key upgrades designed for next-gen performance, including new DIY-friendly innovations, efficient thermal designs, Ultra Durable reinforcements, and cutting-edge Wi-Fi 7 support. The newly designed M.2 EZ-Latch Click enables screwless installation of M.2 heatsinks, when combined with the M.2 EZ-Latch Plus, allowing for tool-free installation of M.2 SSDs. The efficient thermal designs are engineered to keep your system cool even when running at high speeds. The innovative PCIe UD Slot X with its seamless, one-piece design securely fastened to a dedicated backplate, this exceptional achievement raises load-bearing capacity to an impressive 58KG. When paired with Wi-Fi 7, the newly released ultra-high gain antenna combines both directional and omnidirectional characteristics, providing stronger, faster, and more stable signals.

Besides hardware upgrades, the BIOS has undergone a comprehensive overhaul, introducing the user-centric UC BIOS. This revamped BIOS offers a redesigned UI and UX, featuring a Quick Access panel with customizable option slots. It allows users to set commonly used functions from Advanced Mode as shortcut keys accessible directly from Easy Mode. Moreover, PerfDrive has implemented further optimizations tailored for the Intel Core 14th gen processors. The Instant 6 GHz+ mode enables overclocking to an impressive 6.2 GHz.

The AORUS Z790 X Gen motherboards set a new standard for high-performance computing, redefining possibilities for enthusiasts, professionals, and gamers alike. The Z790/Z690 series motherboards also offer full support for Intel Core 14th gen processors after updating to the latest BIOS version.

I really really wish my builds I have done with Gigabyte motherboards has been better than what they have because I have been on AMD and Intel side running into BSOD which are Gigabyte specific which not even reinstallation can get rid off and changing to AsRock, Asus or MSI without even reinstallation the BSOD vanished without a trace.

Gigabyte make interesting motherboards with nice features, a lot of usb ports also for competitive prices sometime but not when I cannot get things to work out :(

I've had Gigabyte boards in my last two builds without any issues, both AMD builds and I also have an older Gigabyte mini-ITX board in my NAS that's been running 24/7/365 for five years now.

To be fair Gigabyte seem to have made an effort here to entice people over from the older boards, wonder how much of a price bump it gets over the Z690/790 boards though for these new bits and pieces and are they across the range.

EZ M.2 e.g. should be across the range in my opinion.

Not quite sure what the difference is, as I have the EZ-Latch Plus and they're a breeze to use and saves a lot of hassle.
Edit: Right, the EZ-Latch Click isn't as useful, but saves some hassle.
