To view this case mod, go here.

Specs:
Palomino 1700+ with L1 bridge mod running at 150 FSB x 12 = 1.8 GHz (stock 2500+ heat sink found from a dead computer in the garbage... the proc. works as well in my other rig. at 2.4 GHz), 512MB PC2700, 120GB Maxtor DiamondMax 9 7200 RPM, Matrox G400 32MB Dual Head (great picture on 27" TV), Hauppauge PVR 250, Turtle Beach Riviera 6 sound card, D-Link 520+ wireless card, SYBA PCI USB controller, TTGI 350W Modular PSU.

Mods:
The case was made from three 10 ft. 1/2" copper pipes, 32 T connectors, 8 elbow connectors, and a butane torch (connectors had solder already applied which made connecting the beast much easier). All the cutting and grinding was performed with my cordless Dremel (if I only had a pipe cutter). The pics pretty much speak for the construction itself. The corners each have two horizontal bars for support and to act as handles. The hardest parts are making sure all the pipes for mounting the hardware were in the correct places since mounting on a 1/2" cylinder doesn't give you much leeway for errors. Additionally, a new top right mounting hole for the PSU had to be drilled so that the top left and right holes were both aligned rather than staggered as on most standard power supplies. When finally completed, the case is much lighter than one would expect and as strong as a tank.

Very creative... not much of a fan on looks, but it's very well done.

All you need to do now is connect the CPU heatsink to the frame, fill the tubing with water and have a massive fan blow over everything... lol. It's ugly and unpractical, but at least it's creative and unique!! :D

Some plexi over the frame would be good, unique either way.

And where is egzacly the start button????

I don't have it shown in the pictures, I made a 3x3x3 wooden box with an 8 ft. cord so I can turn it on and off while on the couch (I know it's lazy, but in combination with a wireless keyboard and mouse my couch is my command station).

Dude, that's awsome! I'm glad it worked out well, it would have been a nightmare if one pipe was out of line. Also, with an open case like that, i suppose you don't have to worry about noisy case fans! :D

Great job!

Lol awesome, I thought I commented this before but guess not. First off it's sweet, but I'd say to make this the best case on the planet would be if somehow those copper pipes were used to be heatsinks and actually act as a huge cooling source. Great idea anyway though

Actually dust is much less a problem with this rig than my gaming setup with three 80mm intake fans, 2 80mm exhaust, and 1 huge 14cm (yes 14 and not 12) fan on the PSU. On top of that, the other one is an acrylic case with all the lights and other crap so I have to mess with dust far more often than I'd like. I've been thinking of adding aluminum mesh panels and maybe a white cathode tube, nothing too fancy since I'd like to keep it a little bare. Maybe if I get bored again I'll start tweaking around a bit.

Excellent soldering and grinding on the tubing. The way to prove your soldering or brazing is to go water cooled through the frame. Add some plexiglass other clear material to finish and make it truly workable.

thats a mod

Finaly a real mod. Damn i get tired of looking at bought cases with windows and some light. Look at my lights. This is build up from bottom and 8 from me. But i agree with others here. Something is missing.

if you make the copper functional cooling, then you got something....(remember the voodoo machine that was all passive.
