ASUS will also promote Crysis with its NVIDIA GeForce 8800GT video cards. Dubbed EN8800GT CRYSIS Edition, the card will come with a Crysis theme and of course a Special Edition copy of the game. The sad news for Crysis fans seeking out for a new card to handle the game is that ASUS are limiting supply of this card to Korea only.

Horrible advertising in my opinion, many uninformed folks are going to buy this card thinking they can run this game "the way it's supposed to be played" on MAX settings.

Crysis edition that won't play Crysis in all its glory :rockout:

Ohh it will play Crysis.... Especially with the forth coming SERIOUS performance patches that are due for it.

Obviously better with 2 though :)

They should make a crysis bundle edition with the 9900 Ultra GTX Superclocked. That would be fair advertising. (Not for Very High settings tho :D)

So they should stick in Oblivion then? It runs that great, but that's not a point of a bundle. I'd rather take a new game with a card than a 2 year old that everyone has already played.

People want Crysis and people want 8800GT, why not sell them together? This is great advertising imo, no matter how it runs. If it was bundled with 8600GTS, then I'd agree.

From what I've heard, and saw with my own eyes, this game is really buggy at times. The demo worked fine on my system. The full version on my friends computer ran really buggy, and did a number on his computer--turns out you need better than an x-fi fatil1ty pro series sound card to run audio on high?? weird.

They need to give it away to promote it I guess... Reminds me of vista.

Yeah, got to have your brand loyalty no matter what eh? I don't care if it comes with the game, but if your going to stamp the game's name on the damn card it better run it correctly. Making the point about the 8600gts completely negates your statement anyway. I'd actually prefer if they kept the game and sold the damn cards at the price they're supposed to be at.

No, I use a plain ol' Audigy and High sound settings work fine. Must be a driver or operator error.

Agree you on there that branding the cooler with game sticker (no matter what it is) is stupid. Agree you even more that best if card is cheap with no game with it and if it comes with a game don't charge more. There was just no price mention, haven't seen bundles raise price that much, factory OCs affect price more.

Still it should be cheaper to buy this, that 8800GT+Crysis. If you don't want Crysis buy a version without one :) Didn't get that brand loyalty part, if it was directed to me. I have no brand loyalty, I'll buy the cheapest I can find (to a point). I've had Abit, ASRock and Epox boards besides current Asus. GPUs the same, Gainward, Club 3D besides current Sapphire one (and propably more, can't remember rest).

The latest, most demanding game to date comes with a $200 mid range video card (bundled with a $50 game). See the problem here? Why not sweeten up the deal for the folks who are bold enough to spend $500+ on a card?

8800GT owner "Yeah, I bought the 8800GT and got Crysis :toast:"

8800GTX/Ultra owner "damn, $550 blown in an instance only to have to spend $50 more for the game!" :wtf:

Every high end card should come with a game.

Why would people think that? No where on there does it say "runs Crysis on max settings"

Good to see this. I was wondering if any of the 8800GT cards were gonna get the Crysis makeover
