BioShock Wins Spike TV's 2007 Game of the Year Award

Spike TV has announced winners for its 5th annual Video Game Awards and their achievements in the gaming world. Game developers and other talented members from across the entertainment world gathered at the Mandalay Bay Events Resort and Casino in Las Vegas to honor this year's accomplishments within the video game community. Hosted by Samuel L. Jackson, the 2007 "Video Game Awards" will premiere on Spike TV Sunday, December 9 (9:00-11:00 PM, ET/PT).

Crysis might be funner but but its too short. I remember hearing people complain about Bioshock being short, crysis takes the cheese on that one.

Not going to buy Crysis if it's shorter than Bioshsock.

I can see Bioshock being GOTY from XBOX360 but not from PC.
Too many performance problems on a wide range of systems to be GOTY on PC.

But if Biohock worked perfect on all systems then I beleive it would have a definite chance besides being a bit short due to not being open ended and no side missions.

Bioshock is a great game, and I consider it to be a better game than Crysis on the fun scale. However, no one can argue that Crysis does look better.

The best ps3 game of the year award is very telling. It's been a massive year for PC gaming so I'd imagine it was difficult...

I agree on the decision to give Bioshock GOTY, it just got almost everything right...

Wow, DiRT won, cool! It's a very good game. It's very video card dependent but the level of different tracks (I stopped count after 15) and the amount of cars that you can unlock and tweakable car setups (stop count after 10 different cars, excluding the semi tractor trailers and oil trucks), paint jobs and the massive career mode is why this racing game is the best of the best. How many races do you have to compete in career mode? I don't know off hand but it has to be well over 20 with some races requiring you to run 2 different tracks that are well over 2 miles in some cases. I mean come on, give credit were credit is DEW (hehe).

I think we can all agree, however, that CoD4 more than earned the awards it got. I would have named it best game of the year, because honestly, it's an incredible game.
