Super Talent is Now Atomic Juice

Super Talent Technology, based in San Jose, California today introduced an all new line of power supply units (PSUs), dubbed Atomic Juice. NVIDIA SLI certified Atomic Juice PSUs come in 600W and 700W sizes. "We didn't want this to be just another cookie cutter PSU, so we juiced it up with a unique look and best-of-class features", said Super Talent Director of Business Development, Paul Sperry. The ultra-quiet 120mm ball bearing fan, which is backlit with fire-orange LEDs, communicates with temperature sensors, automatically adjusting RPM and airflow as needed. The universal AC input 100 ~ 264 Vac, is automatically switched and adjusts the hardware to operate at the available input voltage. Quad 12V rails (18A each) provide independent and reliable power to CPU(s), video card(s) and the other system components. All models are sampling now. Atomic Juice PSUs will be available from Super Talent resellers worldwide in January. Street price on the 700W model is expected to be around $145.

Another memory-module maker turned PSU maker.

I somewhat don't like the way these people price stuff. Corsair has exhorb pricing while the likes of CoolerMaster and Antec offer more bang4buck.

The Corsair psus are just rebadged Seasonics. Their prices are right in line with the Seasonic branded psus. They're worth every penny.

I'll stick with Ultra's PSUs and their lifetime warranties thank you very much. Not that I had to actually RMA an Ultra PSU in all the years I've been using them. All three of em.

That name is so cool it now topples ToughPower off the top of my "Stupidly awesome computer component names" list. I see it is not modular however, which is a shame. The orange LEd and blue casing is a bit hard to work with if you are into case blinging/modding.

it was ONE bad batch and they were sold @ CompUSA i have been using 2 ultras and then my Tt purepower

500watt ultra V series running a PD 930 with a light oc and a FX5700 (massive OC) and 3HDD, 2 optical drives and its never caused me issues

400watt ultra v series running a celleron D 351 @4.2ghz onboard vid, 1 hdd, 1 optical drive and again its NEVER had an issue (this is a internet browser rig

Quad 12v rails? Only at 18amps though, I think that's what the recommended amperage on my 9600pro is. Methinks it may struggle with beefier cards..

I'm such a lazy bastard, I got my X-connect on thursday, and it's still sitting on my desk at home. Maybe tonite... maybe...

I mentioned this in another thread, but I do have one of the original Ultra's Titanium X-Connect PSUs running in my server machine. It has been running just fine for 19 months now with uptimes ranging from 60 to 90 days with occasional downtimes with less than several hours, and no problems, at all, of any kind. Prior to that PSU I've had several generic Chinese PSUs that just couldn't take the constant load and heat of a server machine and died within months. So, X-Connect's sure do have the endurance.

Umm this does have very similar specs to the FSP 600W and 700W epsilon series...
This can't be good if it is using FSP. Somone mentioned a couple of OCZ family powersupplies. They also use FSP as the manufacturer. :ohwell:

FSP aside, the gameX and stealthX are great PSU. they have bad ripple, according to some... but they run a lot of hardware, and run it good (although i admit they ARE a bit loud...)

Electronics break more often by turning them on \ off all the time and have more chance to last longer if left on.. All though i am not saying there bad PSU's.

Anyways i don't like the light in it then again i don't like any thing like that. More bothered if the comps running ok than lights..
