I was once into a marathon 36 hr CS:S LAN session, I never felt hungry...it was just that we'd sip diet Coke (while playing) and if we wanted toilet breaks, we'd to get ourselves fragged. I took a box of Mars bars with me (20 bars) and managed to eat only 3 of them....all through the session. You can't link peoples' lifestyles with obesity....is the point. When McD boss makes such comments he also should make sure that all that McD is selling is health-food. I wouldn't mind if Gatorade (PepsiCo)'s boss came out with a comment like this.

I have to agree with Mcd', there are more reconstituted fats in a old Nintendo cartridge in two Big Mac sandwiches, I used to go through three or four cartridges a week and since switching to Mcd's Ive lost 50lbs!

gamers arnt obese - they're skinny because they don't have high metabolism because they sit on their arse all day. i know a guy - 16yrs old and has 36 days game play on WoW - on ONE character. he is skinny as a rake.

Thats funny.. hahah. 2 of my gamer friends are skinny. Like 130-140lbs. Me, though I got a bit of a belly, 160lbs. Lost 5lbs just because I stopped drinking coke. Thats still not obese though and before when I was younger(7-9 years old) I use to play games so long that I don't even eat almost all day and I was so skinny. Then my father forced me to eat just because he thought I was going to die of being too skinny, hahaahah.

Im still skinny at 9 stone and i have a good diet, still a gamer but i made the choice to feed and look after myself properly, if anyone is to blame its the people who allow obesity to become part of thier life.

What the McD person was trying to imply was that eating foods with more calories AND having a sedentary lifestyle will make you a porker. He could have just a s easliy said that people who eat more calories than they burn in a day will gain weight. Which is true.

Many children today do exercise far less than they use to because the parents use the TV and games as an electronic babysitter so they don't have to be bothered with being good parents.

The moral of the story is, "get off your fat butt and do something."

I have a 15 year old sister who is around 14 stone..she does not game...so what else is there to do??? oh yea...eat food! Gaming helps me to stay thin
